I've been playing this on and off for the past few months, it's been working decently, but I'm about to lose quite a bit of it to rotation.

// jeek's blue/black aggro.. BEFORE

// Mana
4 River of Tears
4 Terramorphic Expanse
4 Watery Grave
2 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
4 Swamp
4 Island

// Counter
4 Remand
4 Rune Snag
SB: 4 Flashfreeze
SB: 4 Trickbind

// Removal
4 Sudden Death
4 Last Gasp
4 Repeal
SB: 4 Smallpox
SB: 3 Big Game Hunter

// Draw
4 Shadowmage Infiltrator
4 Looter il-Kor
2 Dimir Cutpurse

// The Beats
4 Tombstalker
4 Withered Wretch

As far as I can tell, I'm losing Last Gasp, Remand, Watery Grave, Dimir Cutpurse, and Repeal.
To replace Last Gasp, I'm moving Smallpox to the maindeck, Underground River replaces Watery Grave. Wipe Away replaces Repeal, and I'm thinking about trying Nihilith in the Cutpurse slot along with removing an Island and a Swamp to complete the set of Nihiliths.
The deck basically runs all answers and the creatures act as reusable draw to find the redundant cards.
I've also been contemplating Nameless Inversion as the Last Gasp replacement, but the Smallpox/Nihilith interaction seems strong.

Edit: Oh right, and Delay to replace Remand.

You know what irks me the most?
That MaRo had the audacity to taint the good name of the Rakdos by including a justification for HoFLong in their article.

I have a small stack of stuff that's currently legal in Type 2 that I build decks with. Aside from the stuff you mentioned, these are the cards from those color that might be remotely relevant to you:
Boomerang
Shadow Guildmage
Cruel Edict (this card is hot, even though it's a sorcery)
Ancestral Visions
Cancel
Whispers of the Muse (once you get to the midgame this is savage)
Ponder
Dream Stalker
Riftwing Cloudskate
Spiketail Hatchling
Funeral Charm
Slaughter Pact/Terror

You'll notice most of these cards fit in your strategy of delaying the game, generate small amounts of tempo, killing or bouncing things, and drawing cards. Cryptic Command and Thoughtseize seems decent, but pricey. Faerie Trickery seems along the lines of Cancel/Dissipate.
