I wrote a couple months ago about a deck that I was making for my girlfriend that was a BG hate deck, but I think I would like to evolve it to BGW because of the new powerful cards that are coming out in Lorwyn. Mostly Gaddock Teeg made me want to change it.

3x Gaddock Teeg
4x Tarmogoyf
3x Aven Mindcensor
4x Dark Confidant

4x Thorn of Amethyst
3x Chalice of the Void
4x Duress
3x Root Maze
2x Smother
1x Diabolic Edict
1x Crucible of Worlds
1x Life from the Loam
2x Sensei's Divining Top
1x Crop Rotation
1x Pithing Needle

2x Bazaar of Baghdad
1x Maze of Ith
1x Urborg, Tomb of Yagmoth
4x Wasteland
1x Strip Mine
4x Bayou
3x Savannah
1x Forest
1x Swamp
1x Treetop Village
1x Mox Pearl
1x Mox Jet
1x Emerald
1x Black Lotus

I really like this deck because the creatures in it are all great and the spells I feel are strong too. I am trying to think how many Thoughtseizes to put in, and also what people think of this deck? Any weak cards or Sideboard suggestions. Especially good white cards that might fit into the sideboard? I was also considering taking out the Treetop Village for a basic plains? Any opinions would be helpful.

Question 1 :  Why Smother over StP??
Question 2 :  Is tutors (demonic and vampiric) worthed enough to be add in?? Since you run only one for some cards.

I suggest for Thoughtseize, that card is so powerful to make this deck a lot stronger.
I also recommend Pernicious Deed as your mass destruction.
Choke maybe find its place in your sideboard list.

Needs more Thoughtsieze.
I had a similar list in mind, that I am testing. Here is the list:

3x Gaddock Teeg
4x Tarmogoyf/Vinelasher Kudzu
3x Aven Mindcensor
4x Dark Confidant
3x Glowrider

4x Thorn of Amethyst
3x Chalice of the Void
4x Duress
4x Thoughtsieze
3x Swords to Plowshare
2x Life from the Loam
2x Sensei's Divining Top
1x Crop Rotation
1x Pithing Needle

1x Urborg, Tomb of Yagmoth
1x Ghost Quarter
3x Wasteland
1x Strip Mine
4x Bayou
3x Savannah
2x Ancient Tomb
1x Mox Pearl
1x Mox Jet
1x Emerald
1x Black Lotus

This list was taken off the Worse than Grow list.  Im not so sure about the Kudzu's in there. But the deck is pretty solid. I havent tested it much, but usually it is Duress/Thought Sieze along with Spheres and strip effects. This deck runs 7 Sphere effects along with removal and chalices.  I originally ran Sphere of Resistance in the chalice place. But currently I am testing chalices.

But that is what my version of a similar list looks like.
Hope I helped =D

I'd take the chalices out of both of those decks.  You both have way too many 1 and 2 casting cost cards that will be dead draws with chalice in play on either of those casting costs.  I also don't think it's worth running it just for the chance at a first turn chalice on zero.  Especially since you can still potentially drop out a Thorn of Amethyst on the first turn or duress/thoughtseize away a mox/lotus if it cripples their hand.

I'm surprised neither of you chose to run Extirpate though.

In testing have you found Life From the Loam to be restrictive?  It seems like a terrible mana commitment with Thorns and Glowriders.  It seems like Crucible would be much better.

Also another card you might want to consider for the Teeg/Thorn/Glow deck is Wethered Wayfayer (I think thats how it's spelled).  You could even run a few more utility lands like Maze of Ith, Karakas, and maybe that land that makes the 1/1 creature when it is put into the GY from play (temple something or other).  Just a thought.
