States has come and gone. I worked on this list but couldn't go to States, and I don't know that anyone that had the list ran it. I really feel like Wild Pair is an incredible card in the format. The advantage that it gives you runs roughshod over counters, Deserts, Wrath, Haakon; once you land Wild Pair you basically just trump whatever your opponent plays and wins. To keep from being reliant on Wild Pair, I hybridized it with a Momentary Blink core.
The deck started out UGW, but you have such trouble against Tarmogoyf decks and sometimes crashing through Faeries or Elementals after you take control, so I added Shriekmaw. Plus you occasionally get to just win on turn 3-4 with Shriekmaw + Momentary Blink.

The deck is mostly 2/2s, but you also have Wall of Roots and Shriekmaws at P+T=5. Out of the board, Masked Admirers and Heartwood Storyteller are also both 5s.

The mana looks really weird, but it's actually relatively tuned. You're willing to pay pain for Green or Black, since you only need those basically once. You want to use a lot of white since you're often just blinking Lions in and out of play, so you want your white sources to be primarily pain-free. Most of your spells are blue and double-blue, so ditto on the blue. I figured out the mana ratios I wanted, then to fix the colors I did -Forests, +Brushland and Yavimaya Coast (and a Llanowar Wastes).

// Lands
3 Brushland
2 Llanowar Wastes
4 Terramorphic Expanse
2 Yavimaya Coast
5 Snow-Covered Island
1 Snow-Covered Swamp
4 Snow-Covered Forest
2 Snow-Covered Plains

// Creatures
4 Mulldrifter
2 Mystic Snake
4 Riftwing Cloudskate
3 Shriekmaw
2 Sower of Temptation
2 Venser, Shaper Savant
4 Wall of Roots
2 Whitemane Lion

// Spells
2 Edge of Autumn
4 Momentary Blink
4 Search for Tomorrow
4 Wild Pair

The sideboard definitely has Shriekmaw #4, Heartwood Storyteller (runs roughshod over Teachings), Cloudthresher and probably has Loxodon Warhammer or Pithing Needle.

Primarily after Pair, the first 2/2 goes for Whitemane Lion so that you have a Flash creature to bring in Venser or Mystic Snake. Interestingly in that circumstance you just bring back the Whitemane Lion as long as you have another counter guy in the library because he's cheaper and gets more efficiency.

In testing I've found that Pickles is somewhat unfavorable, Teachings is pretty favorable, and you have a tendency to run over a lot of beatdown decks because of Wall of Roots and Shriekmaw.
