Not that I have read a lot of thing about URBana Fish, I think it's time to change mu UR and add a little bit of black. I won't cost me a lot anyway.

But now, i'm lost. I haven't read a reply about URBana Fish for less than a month (or I can't just find one), and I don't want to necro the other thread, so I'm not sure of what the deck should look like right now, with that strange Meta that have changed so much lately. I have found a decklist from september that look interesting :

Mainboard:

2 Underground Sea
3 Volcanic Island
1 Strip Mine
4 Wasteland
3 Polluted Delta
3 Flooded Strand
1 Badlands
1 Island

3 Gorilla Shaman
4 Ninja of the Deep Hours
4 Dark Confidant
4 Mogg Fanatic

3 Control Magic
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Time Walk
2 Mana Leak
3 Red Elemental Blast
4 Duress
4 Force of Will
1 Black Lotus
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Pearl
1 Mox Ruby
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Demonic Tutor
2 Spell Snare

# 60

Sideboard:

3 Rack and Ruin
3 Pyroblast
4 Leyline of the Void
2 Flametongue Kavu
3 Pithing Needle

# 15

I'm not sure where to go from there... Control Magic ? Spell Snare ? REB Mainboard ? Maybe split Duress with Thoughtseize? Too much moxen? No Misdirection ?

Some one can help me ? I really hope that fish is not dead...

Looks like a good start, but I can tell you Mogg Fanatic is no Waterfront Bouncer. You've got to play Bouncer in URBana to truly understand how good the card is.

Your disruption package is solid, though you might as well run Sower of Temptation over Control Magic.

I'd either run 4 Thoughtseize or a few Misdirections if I were to rebuild it. You can't really play them together though since the damage will pile on.

4 Moxen has proven to be the correct amount after a couple years of play. Basically you never ever want to draw both off color moxen since it can cause you to flood off color mana (5 strips and 2 mox will do that). If you think running 1 off color mox is to janky and not optimal, I'd have to point you to extended Doran decks that run a single chrome mox for that exact reason. The pro's agree 1 mox is the way to go in there, exact same logic here. I've found 24 Mana Sources perfect.

Good luck with the deck.

Thank you very much for your help Smile

For the Thoughtseize, do you mean that you will play 4 Thoughtseize AND 4 Duress or only the Thoughtseize ?

And I just think about that, is the addition of Grim Lavamancer can be a good thing? It's a great card that can easily kill a lot of creatures.

17 crits look solid. I'd mix fanatics with lavamancers or other fun 1st turn drops like shadow guildmage (Die Bob! Die...). Keep people guessing and throw them off balance. With the addition of Tarmogoyfs in opposing decks, I bring some stingscourgers in sideboard. FTKs (most of the times) fail to kill a fat goyf. Spell snare is definitely good for countering these specific threats.

But Fish decks, including urbana, are metagaming decks IMO. 3 REB main deck may be a metagaing choice... So telling us your meta will help us help you Wink

Hope that helps.
