Eh, they're just being cautious.  Disapointing though. Sad

I frowned at the new Extended system.

I frowned at the new Extended system.

Really, won't the new system will increase the variability of decklists?  Especially since they are moving away from the real heavy 'linear block mechanic v. linear block mechanic' ways of the past.  It could lead to analyzing more lesser known cards as people look for replacements.

I thought that part of the fun of Extended was that it sometimes got really big and you could actually do powerful things, unlike in Standard which is always small and boring. Now they HAVE to add BYOS as a PTQ format or nothing really exciting will happen again (in my opinion, anyway).

I am not too surprised.  I was hoping they had planned to get rid of some of the unplayed cards like Dream Halls.
When it comes to changes that would actually impact our format, they obviously want to have time to test the impact before unrestriction.  Now that we have expressed out opinions over on SCG hopefully they will test some of our ideas and make some changes in Junen

Somebody tell Chapin how counterbalance works?
