I got introduced to D&D after around 4th grade or so.

Big books, big words, every effect is like a little algebra problem.  I learned "problem solving skills" as a hobby.  D&D made me a better, smarter person, able to handle reading boring high school texts and exausting all possiblities when faced with a challenge.

R.I.P. Gary, who knew that a game would be so influential?  I do put Richard Garfield in the same league as Gary Gygax.

R.I.P. Gary

I had many chances to meet and talk with him. He was a gamers gamer and a pleasure to talk to. He gamed until the very end and held close to his views on RPG's. While I'll miss hitting him up every so often, I'll miss knowing he was out there just being him even more. He was a fine man who changed the world.
