We are moving on March 1st to a new location in the same mall. The new store is located on the second floor (center court) of the Southwest Plaza Mall right next to Corral West. Its bigger and better complete with sauna, whirlpools, wet bar, and XXX flics 24/7. Ok, well, its bigger and better. Hope to see youz guyz there.
5th Vintage Proxy Tournament
FORMAT: Vintage
WHEN: Sunday, March 9th 2008
DECK REGISTRATION: 9:00 - 10:30 am
ROUND 1: 11:00 am
Lunch will follow Round 2
ENTRY FEE: $10.00
1st place - Unlimited MOX PEARL
2nd place - Volcanic Island (Unlimited)
3rd place - Tundra (Unlimited)
Top 8 players will participate in a single elimination playoff to determine prizes.
Deck Registration required.
Up to 15 proxies are allowed
"Competitive" Rules Enforcement Level will be in effect.
Players must use Magic:The Gathering cards for proxies. Photocopies or slips of paper inserted in sleeves will not be allowed. Proxies must show the name of the card and mana cost along with as much rules text as possible.

man, i was only gonna go if you had the sauna and XXX flix  ......well, ok I guess I'll be there... I suppose I need to defend my first/second place from the last one! Hopefully the Colorado Crew can top 4 this one.... Will Zach and Heather show up this time? Will Scotty L make it back from church in time to actually start round 1 in this event? Will we see the return of the Clown to the type 1 scene? Will Jeff/ Paul/ Rich/ Alex show up again to try to take home the glory?? Stay tuned for details!! |

Last time, we had 3 CC in Top 4 (DoubleDrain, Lou, and myself)...who will step up this time? Carl, you gotta rep a little better this time around... Jeff, are you ready for an epic rematch? Josh, will you be there to T8 again and rep for stax players? This should be a good time, as always. If you for some reason can't make it, the Colorado Crew and friends always go to The Draft afterwards for beers and food. Anyone in the Magic scene is more than welcome to come. My prediction for who wins this one? My boy MARCUS!!! |

Just a reminder that this event is just over two weeks away. Also, it will be held in our new location in the mall which is on the second level next to Corral West. I think you'll love the new playing facilities.

Brennen, I lost in the semifinals, so actually I was only somewhere in 5-8th place (I think 6th, based on swiss standings).
Highlight of the event: remanding my brainfreeze 4x times against Conley Woods and his 250 card Battle of Wits deck for the win. I cast the first of 5 brainfreezes with a storm count of like 17 or something. It was sweet.

Acutally, Conley was really cool about the whole thing. Funny thing is, before we started playing, we joked about how there was no way I would be able to win this matchup, so I think we were both a bit surprised that I actually pulled it off.
