I'm in need of some help to create a manaless tendrils deck. I tried to use the Ichorid framework to build up a Tendrils that is not fueled by rituals and tutors. Instead, it uses Dread Return on Priest of Gix to produce the mana. I'm stuck with 4 cards too many and I'm not sure what to cut.
4 Bazaar of Baghdad - Dredge-hoo 2 Petrified Field - Recurrs Bazaar for an additional activation 4 Dread Return - Recurr Witness to grab goodies, return Priest of Gix to fuel mana for Tendrils 3 Tendrils of Agony - Big storm makes the babies cry 4 Priest of Gix - Generate mana for a lethal tendrils 4 Golgari Grave-Troll - Dredge 4 Golgari Thug - Dredge 4 Stinkweed Imp - Dredge 4 Pact of Negation - Free Counter backup that ups storm count 4 Unmask - Manaless disruption against stifle and other cards 2 Cabal Therapy - Ups stormcount, sac Narcomoeba and Priest of Gix 4 Leyline of the Void - Against Flash and Ichorid and all those graveyard hugging people 4 Street Wraith - Cycle to dredge more 4 Summoner's Pact - Search for Street Wraith and Dredge, Search for Witness and Bazaar it away to Dread Return it, Increases Storm 2 Eternal Witness - Tendrils in the grave? Dread Return Witness to return Tendrils 4 Serum Powder - For those crappy hands.. 2 Narcomoeba - Feels a bit useless, but sacks to therapy quiet well 4 Chalice of the Void - no more moxen 1 Yawgmoth's Will - Doesn't do much, but it gives you extra pacts 64
The workings of the deck are pretty straight forward. Dredge alot and return 2x Priest of Gix to fuel tendrils while using the many alternate CC disruption spells and pacts. The excess BB mana can be used to pay for extra cabal therapies.
So, what are your ideas? What do I cut, did I forget any essential cards? I'm not sure about Narcomoeba. Any crits to improve are welcome

You lose to everything Ichorid loses to and Ichorid is a better deck, so why play this?

If you're looking to cut 4 cards, I would take out the Chalices. But I have a more important question: how do you plan to cast Dread Return, presumably multiple times, when you have no Ichorids, no Bridge from Below, and only 2 Narcomoebas? You have to sac 3 creatures to pay for its Flashback. I can't see how you would ever have 3 creatures on board.

Not only that, but read summoners pact. If it really could find ANY creature and not just green ones (like it was originally spoiled), I would be playing a Meandeck style SX List that would kill first turn more than 70% of the time. Imagine a 52 card tendrils deck (Summoners pact's get street wraiths), that also double as extra G or R mana (SSG/ESG)!

Sorry if I'm missing something, but how do you get the priest in play? You only have 2 narcomoebas and no ichorids, and you need 3 creatures for the first dread return, and 2 for the second. Not criticizing, just wondering.

Since this deck gets hit by even more relevant hate than ichorid, being a storm deck, it needs to be faster than ichorid.
If your meta is littered with Elephant Grass and Moat, this might not be the case.
I suggest trying an additional reanimation spell and, perhaps, some way of producing mana without casting Dread Return on a Priest. Hard casting Reanimate on some beasts or as another way to reach the necessary four mana threshold may be a good path to follow.
The idea of the deck is interesting, though. It would probably be a good idea to look at ELD's Mana Ichorid deck, his explanations of it, and some other manaless Ichorid decklists to get an idea of how they work. Specifically, Bridge from below is paramount, especially if you plan on casting Dread return more than once in a game.
I would suggest cutting some of the disruption, since your deck needs to be faster than normal Ichorid to be viable. If nothing else, cutting Petrified Fields from the maindeck would be a really good idea.
Good luck.

Thanks for the advise TopSecret, I made quiet a big mistake with the list and it doesn't work properly at the moment. Give me some time and I'll try to reproduce a list using Tendrils as good as I can. After that, I leave it up to you guys to help refine it since my deck building skill is limited.
