This deck needs some improvement or input from the Matgic community. The build tests fine, but it really needs to be ready for Goblin Welder decks as well as anything that runs a whole lotta artifacts.

Spells:

4 x Counterspell
4 x Force of Will
2 x Swords to Plowshares
1 x Cryptic Command
1 x Merchant Scroll
1 x Echoing Truth
1 x Repeal
1 x Brainstorm
1 x Time Walk
1 x Ancestral Recall
1 x Balance

Creatures:

4 x Augury Adept
4 x Ophidian
3 x Jotun Grunt
3 x Meddling Mage
2 x Exalted Angel

Enchantments:

2 x Zur’s Weirding

Mana:

5 x Moxen
1 x Black Lotus
1 X Strip Mine
4 X Tundra
4 X Flooded Strand
2 X Polluted Delta
3 X Plains
4 X Island

Sideboard:

4 x Null Rod
4 X Leyline of the Void
2 X Trickbind
2 X Kataki, War’s Rage
3 x Pithing Needle

The basic idea is to put out Zur's Weirding and anything that gains me life and/or cards. Basically, I smash, and my opponent never draws again.

A Mana Drain or Two probably goes in there somewhere.

I could use suggestions on where to bring this deck.

You use Zur's Wierding to deny your opponent of cards, but can't he do the same to you? I'd probably replace Wierding with two more StP's.

Mana Drain is clearly superior to Counterspell in your deck. With Zur's Weirding in play, the leading player wins the game. You don't need Ophidian, not Augury Adept to reach this, you need 1 creature, thats enough. I think with that deck, you want to counter, play Weirding, and still keep mana for answers open.

I'd concentrate on more permission, cutting Phidian and Adept, maybe cut all creatures for 1-2 Nether Spirits, these do the trick, and you don't even need them in your hand yet when playing the Weirding.

also, I'd like to see some "draw that isn't draw" in the deck. Think of Fact or Fiction or Gifts Ungiven, maybe Intuition (also gets Nether Spirits).

It seems to me you want to build a deck abusing Zur's Weirding, maybe you can find other ideas in an article I wrote about the card some time ago:

Also I'd like to say that I am the original creator of Nourishing Lich.

Here's my take on what you're trying:
// Lands
    3 Underground Sea
    2 Tundra
    3 Polluted Delta
    3 Mishra's Factory
    3 Flooded Strand
    1 Strip Mine

// Creatures
    4 Trinket Mage
    3 Dark Confidant

// Spells
    1 Crucible of Worlds
    1 Engineered Explosives
    2 Umezawa's Jitte
    2 Counterbalance
    1 Vampiric Tutor
    2 Intuition
    1 Enlightened Tutor
    1 Tormod's Crypt
    1 Sensei's Divining Top
    2 Zur's Weirding
    1 Yawgmoth's Will
    4 Mana Drain
    4 Force of Will
    1 Time Walk
    1 Ancestral Recall
    4 Accumulated Knowledge
    1 Fact or Fiction
    1 Balance
    1 Pithing Needle
    1 Black Lotus
    1 Mox Jet
    1 Mox Pearl
    1 Mox Ruby
    1 Mox Sapphire
    1 Mox Emerald

Sideboard:
needs testing, definitely more tormods crypt, maybe some deep analysis, StoP or other means vs RG and other aggro-decks

Are you serious?? I started a thread on this forum on Nourishing Lich before you ever did. Are you German? Cuz if you are, you got the tech from me. All and all, that's a really outrageous claim. I have a Nourishing Lich thread on the Source with over 5000+ views, why haven't you ever bothered to post the idea if you came up with it?

As for the deck we're discussing, I'd definitely suggest Deep Analysis, it's really good with Zur's Wierding.  Wink

I totally invented the tech of red-text reminding people to not post arguments over who came up with what innovation first.

I'm really tempted to design a deck with Intuition, Accumulated Knowledge, Zur's Weirding, Deep Analysis, Demigod of Revenge, Reanimate and Animate Dead, but that's just me.  Wink

Saying Demigod + Reanimation in a deck with Intuition + Analysis would work is clearly an outrageous combustion.

Demigod of Revenge triggers upon beeing played, not when it's reanimated.

Therefore, I suggest trying something serious like a 9/14 Trample beater for Animate Dead or similar. Demigod + reanimation doesn't work as you think it would.

How about just a Reanimator deck with Zur's Wierding? You can also splash red for Recoup to fustrate your opponent even more.  Wink

Funny, I was playing against a deck very similar to this. They intuitioned for Demigod EOT, then cabal rit into the Demigod for 15.

Wasn't Fun as the only bounce in my hand was Chain :/

Never saw a Zur tho he said he had them.
All up I think it was a laugh to be smashed by a different deck.

Innovation FTW.

Verbal warning to Cavius the Great for off-topic posting.  Everyone else, this thread was posted by someone seeking feedback and suggestions for their deck, not a digression about Demigod of Revenge or who invented what tech "first."  Post relevant ideas or start a new discussion.  -DA
