[Deck] Mono Blue Answers Drain

Hello everyone.

Here is a deck idea I had. I realise that it'd probably be better with 1x Demonic Tutor, 1x Vampiric Tutor, 1x Yawgmoth's will, but the first draft I had was for a mono blue deck, so here goes.

Also, I realise that in execution, this deck is probably just like Drain Tendrils but much worse, but without trying anything out, we can't learn so here it is!

The biggest weakness of this deck compared to Drain Tendrils is probably the loss of Duress/Thoughtsieze. 

These days, the FoW x4, Drain x4, MisD x1 control package is simply inferior to FoW x4, Drain x3, Thoughtsieze/Duress x3. 

Also, the lack of Duress cuts down your 1 drops, meaning that you would have a tendency to sit there doing nothing on turn 1.  I recommend that you try to get your 1-drop count to at least 8 to fix your mana curve.  At the very least, add Ponder x1.

Drain Tendrils does not run Duress/Thoughtseize maindeck. Its control package is 4 Drain and 4 Force of will.

The biggest difference between the decks is what they are trying to do. DT wants to control the game, while building up card advantage then combo out. Its a combo control deck. Your deck seems more to be a trinket control deck. It just happens to share a common way to win, DSC.
I would suggest to add more countermagic. Perhapse Mana Leak.

You could also try to add stifle/trickbind and add a dreadnaugt since mage searches for it.

this seems like control deck combining about 3 different ideas.  add stifles to beat combo, and heck throw in a dreanauts. seems cool eh?
