Bump! Less than two weeks away until the event. I have been getting some PMs asking about attendance. There was just a Meandeck Open tournament in Columbus yesterday with 16 people, which is two hours away, and with a bunch of unfamiliar people. We have also been holding weekly Vintage tournaments that have been drawing anywhere from 8 - 16 people. The last time we had a Mox tournament that was Vintage, we had 12 players, but everyone put in a little extra cash to play for the Mox. (Well, we did have another Mox tournament after that, which had 41 players, but that was Extended for a Mox) If everyone I knew in the area showed up to play Vintage, we would have a much higher attendance. The numbers we have been getting is pretty good for the area though. If we had lots of people from out of town show up, I'm hoping we would have a great turnout. The regular Cleveland area players often travel to Columbus, Sandusky, and Livonia to play tournaments so it's nice to try and have one in our backyard. If we could start doing more of these, that would be awesome! The last time I checked, the store owner had 8 Moxes that he wanted to put up for tournament prizes. It's a little outdated, but here is the post of the results from the last Vintage Mox tournament: http://www.themanadrain.com/index.php?topic=33337.0I hope this makes clears the air a little bit and I am looking forward to a great tournament! Hope to see you all there!

HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE!!!!!!!!!11111one1!!
The Meandeck tourney in Columbus had 16 people due to the Time Walk tourney at RIW, so the attendance was split. If everyone shows up that went to those tourneys that would put attendance over 25 people.
Some benifits from having a Mox tourney in C-Town -Bone Thugs N Harmony are from Cleveland... Est. 1999 yo! -The Quickie Mart across the street sells single cigarettes for a quarter and they have a sweet 40oz collection. -Telling the Pittsburg crew that the Steelers are awful. Browns are King! -Drew Carry -It's illegal to catch a mice without a hunting license in Cleveland -Being home to the legendary Snoop Trogg, Yangtime, Nartman99, Guhstin and the most diabolical MTG players this side of the Mississippi.
Plus, Yangtime and Snoop Trogg claim that they are going to win Vintage Champs. So you can show up a do battle with the self proclaimed future vintage champions.

I think that was honestly the last time I was happy with my play before quitting! Anyway, I like my chances of attending this. Need a deck though. I'm sure one of you LATRing fellows could oblige, right? Later, Dave

This tourney is going to be the sickness! Like that song by Disturbed. Only not as terrible as the song. Scratch all that. That song is awful.
EDIT: This tourney is going to be more ballin that the Cash Money Millionaires! Signed Foil Sol Ring worth about fifty. Bling Bling!

Bump! This tournament is only 6 days away. I mentioned it to such greats as Josh, Sam, Ed, Nicolae (sp?), and DeMars from Michigan, as well as Steve Menendian, whom all will try and make it, which would be awesome. I'm hoping for a great turnout with some good competition!

If I was going, I would be playing a forest in my deck just so I could tutor it up the turn before I killed you.

Yay! I'm finally able to post in this forum.
I can't wait for this tournament.
Will Vintage Champ Paul Mastriano show up in his first tournament with his new title? Will Steve Menendian attend a tournament placed specifically on Sunday and early just for him? Will Brian DeMars play more than 4 Strategic Plannings? Will Mark Trogdon play a deck with Island in it? Will Anthony Michaels win a match? Will Nam Q. Tran attack with Serra Sphinx?

Oh man, this is panning out to be real good. I heard it through the grapevine that the Vintage Champion, Paul Mastriano, might be attending this shindig! There's also a chance that Vintage legend, Steve Menendian, will be attending! I know that the creator of such decks as Mirror, Mirror and Wirecat Blitz, Mark Trogdon, will be there. Who knows who else will be in attendance?

-Will the WireCat Blitz make a comeback? -Will the mustache count go above 2? -Will Snoop Trogg unveil something so metagame warping it will be cause for immediate restriction? -Will Nam Q. Tran sport a shirt with a Q on it? -Will Brian Demars pick up Anthony so he can make it to the tourney?
Anything is possible so get there!
BOOM!

Ballin! Tourney is at 12:00 so it will probably start at 12:30......... If you arrive at my house at 10:00 it should leave plenty of time to get there.

Demars got a new bumps and new spinnerz for his Escalade so we'll be ghost riding that whip all the way to C-Town. Then we'll ghost ride that mo fo back with a Mox Sapphire hanging from the rear view mirror!
Word!
EDIT: The Escalade just got faded by a rival gang members AK. Looks like my ride is out. Is there anyone thats coming down from Michigan? Anyone from the BC crew making the drive?

Got off the phone with Mr, T4. Apparently, Paul Mastriano won this event after beating Twuan in the finals. 27 players showed up. Congrats again Mr 2008 Vintage Champ!

27 players in a Cleveland tournament?! Who would've thought! Congratulations to Paul for taking it down and bringing the Mox back to Pittsburgh. This means that someone from Cleveland is going to have to go gunning for that Mox in Pittsburgh on August 30th.
Congrats to the rest of the Top 8. That's one funky meta...
