I played type 1 a while ago before selling out of it, but I have gotten the itch to play again. I recently spoke to a friend who was big in type 1 around the same time as me and his current take on the meta was that now with the blue based combo cards being restricted in the format it would cause the format to switch to more control based decks. I have been researching quite a bit and found that I really like the control slaver deck. It seems like a deck which is skill intensive (which I enjoy) and at the same time its the kind of deck that can do some really broken things (also fun). the reason for this thread is because I would like to start a solid constructive discussion of deck and sideboard choices for the deck basically because I really don't know where to start with it. I also would love match discussions. Like how to play against certain decks and also how to sideboard with the deck. Hopefully you guys could help me out. I would really appreciate it if I am to make any appearances at power tournaments this year.

Seeing as this is your first post, I want to preface this with both a welcome to the boards and a hope that I don't come off as a total tool. That said, there's already a Control Slaver thread about five posts below this one, and all your questions are welcome in that. Since front-page space on these boards is limited, we like to keep general discussions about a deck in one easy-to-find thread. I'm locking this one up, but feel free to post in the "Post-Brainstorm Restriction Control Slaver" thread on this forum. Again, welcome to TMD!
