Card Choices

Llanowar/Fyndhorn/Priest : Help generate mana

Ranger: By far the most important elf in the deck. It powers out your guys, helps power through your own spheres, and protects from wasteland.

Wellwisher: Sometimes gaining 3-5 life a turn is just too much for some decks to deal with.

Viridian Zealot: A utility elf that helps against Platnium, Flux, Moat, or any other annoying artifacts/enchantments

Imperious Perfect: Combos off with Intruder alarm as well as giving the deck a little reach.

Walk/Recall/Twister/Jar: I am not explaining these

The Prison: Good for what prison is good for.

I'd definitely run Propaganda in this list. It's good versus Ichorid and crushes Empty the Warrens. Plus you can cast it on the second turn via elves.

Please don't play me in a T1 tourney.  I like finishing quickly and going out for a cigarette. Razz  I would HATE to see this mirror match, haha. Does anyone remember the Stasis.dec mirror match?

Can this deck gain infinite life with Wellwisher and Intruder Alarm? I assume it needs a third combo component but Wellwisher is pretty sick with Intruder Alarm, even if you can't achieve infinite life with it, you still get a significant amount.

Looks really fun to play.

Have you done any testing with Concordant Crossroads?

I have not done anytesting with Crossroads and the deck really is a blast to play.
The deck can make infinte life only if it has a Perfect in play and alarm.

Also, as of recently I have cut the Alarm from the deck and put elvish champion in its place. The deck now focuses more on beating down than going "win more" on your face.

I have not been able to play against the Ichorid matchup but it seems to do well against most combo decks with the spheres+clock.

Here is the list.

// Deck file for Magic Workstation

// Lands
    5 Forest
    2 Gaea's Cradle
    3 Tropical Island
    2 Windswept Heath
    1 Wooded Foothills
    1 Black Lotus
    1 Lotus Petal
    1 Mox Emerald
    1 Mox Sapphire

// Creatures
    2 Elvish Champion
    4 Fyndhorn Elves
    4 Imperious Perfect
    4 Llanowar Elves
    4 Priest of Titania
    4 Quirion Ranger
    3 Viridian Zealot
    2 Wellwisher

// Spells
    1 Ancestral Recall
    1 Biorhythm
    1 Memory Jar
    2 Null Rod
    4 Sphere of Resistance
    4 Thorn of Amethyst
    1 Time Walk
    1 Timetwister
    1 Trinisphere

// Sideboard
SB: 2 Wellwisher
SB: 2 Biorhythm
SB: 1 Null Rod
SB: 3 Chalice of the Void
SB: 3 Pithing Needle
SB: 4 Guttoral Response

Hmm.  Thats reel cute.  Before I ever played magic.  I was at someones place chatting away all stoned when this kid shows me the game an says that elves was one of the hardest decks to play an he was still able to win a lot with them. (hmhchucklehmh)  So naturally for me I said " Thats what I would play too".  "Sounds cool".  Later to find out that he was playing something like Fallen Empires if my memory serves.   During X an X standard period.  None the less years later when the time was right.  Guess what?  Believe it or not.  I did quite well.

So its fun an all.  Try this some time.

OH SHIT!!  Thats what I am talking about!

Is it working yet?

No, damn. Sad\now Sad
