Great prize support, competitive field, friendly locals, epic results - probably one of the best mox tournaments I've been to.
Justin, THANK YOU! I really appreciated the hospitality. (and thank your wife for the morning doughnuts!)
Brian, congratz on making the whole thing a success. I had a lot fun playing type 4 afterward, definitely something I'll look forward to next time. I pmed you about some typos. (Phyrexian Negator? Yixlid Jailor? yikes!)

Major Kudos to everyone that had a hand in making this a success and congrats to CJ and the rest of the Top 8. This was a blast!
By the way, is there any question at all that TPS/PitchLong is king? In addition to the fact that half of the Top 8 played it, Paul, Jerry and I all finished 4-2 with it as well, finishing just shy of T8ing. Sick deck.
Man, I'm glad to be playing again!
Later, Dave

This was an awesome tournament, thanks to everyone for the good games and sportsmanship, and especially to Ron for hosting.
EDIT: My misplaced deck appears to have been found, so if this is the case then it will only reaffirm my belief that the Vintage community is full of awesome people. Thanks guys.

I had a great time hosting this event. The tournament was exciting, and we had a very friendly group of players. I am looking forward to hosting more or these events. My special thanks goes to Brian for helping me to organize this event, and to Josh for helping out with judge questions.
I wanted to also tell Dan that someone did turn in a deck that was left downstairs at the end of the night. I just put it on my desk without looking at it, but I believe it was a Dragon Shield box. Sorry that I can't remember who turned this deck in, but this was another example of the kindness that was displayed during this event. Give me a call on Tuesday after 2pm at the store to verify if it is your deck. 412-828-1701

This event was well worth the drive out from philly, and was one of the most competitive events I have played in outside of the major 80+ person events. The store was very clean and friendly, with Ron and Holli doing a great job running the event. Dinner after the event at Permani Bros was almost as epic as the event, and the 11 man type 4 game at Brians place after the event was the type 4 game I have ever played. I cannot thank Justin, Brian or Paul enough for their hospitality the entire weekend. Big props also to the Ohio crew for coming out as well, and Nam and CJ in particular, our games were insanely fun and I look forward to taking my revenge the next time we meet. I look forward to coming out to Pittsburgh more often for events and recommend anyone who can make the trip out do. Thanks to everyone involved again for an epic mox event.

I'm sorry that you lost your deck. I was going to mention that after the Top 8 or so I saw someone turn in what looked like a Black Dragon Shield Sleeves box with a deck in it. I believe there was also like a pad of paper, maybe a pen, and maybe some dice. It did seem weird that someone would leave their deck and all of there stuff just laying around but I am glad to know that you will get your cards back. I was going to post to tell you to call the store, but I got beat to it. A concur though that the Vintage Community is full of awesome awesome people! As for the event, it definitely was a blast! Lots of people, great venue, awesome competition, tremendous prizes. It doesn't really get any better! Congrats to the rest of the Top 8, and props to my opponents for all being awesome. Especially Dan, Jon, and CJ. We had some epic matches! Slops to Platinum Angel for beating my face in. Seriously, who plays that card?!?! Primanti Brothers was awesome too. What did we have, like a table for 30?! Great tournament, I'm looking forward to the next one!

This was a really fun tourney, although some fans in the lower level would've been nice. Those poor Primanti Bros. employees never knew what hit them.
And congrats to yangtime for rocking my face with my own WoW TCG demo decks.
