Skill Borrower Artifact Creature - Human Wizard You play with the top card of your library revealed. As long as the top card of your library is an artifact or a creature card, Skill Borrower gains all abilities of that card. 1/3 English Breakfast anyone? With Skill borrower you can Vampiric Tutor/worldly tutor into Phage the untouchable for a kill the turn after you play skill borrower. Additionally you could tutor or Sensei's divining top or brainstorm into an untargetable creature/darksteel colossus to protect the combo. 2 card 4 mana 2 turn combo, this certainly seems playable in vintage. Due to all the 'top of deck' manipulation this might fit well into a (Tier 2?)control/counterbalance deck. Edit: More tricky stuff. Sensei's Divining top in Play you can Pop the top to counter a 1CC spell and still have a "Top" in play to reorder the library for counterbalance Enlightened Tutor/vampiric tutor for the Mindlock orb in repsonse to a fetchland/tutor or anything. I'm sure the list goes on, looks like a real fun card.

Arcanis the Omnipotent comes to mind, as does revillark and protean hulk.

With Skill borrower you can Vampiric Tutor/worldly tutor into Phage the untouchable for a kill the turn after you play skill borrower. The portal tutors work too like Imerial Seal and what is it, Sylvan Tutor? Maybe a UGB combo deck that uses Tinker, Personal Tutor, Worldly Tutor, Sylvan Tutor, and the others? Peace, -Troy

Personal Tutor is useless with this card, as it only gets sorcery's and the skill borrower only steals artifacts and creatures!

Eh. Maybe. The problem here is the same with all the blue artifacts, namely that it requires some external investment of effort (although this guy at would just be stupid). At least you can split up the mana off Workshop. I don't know how useful trying to English Breakfast the opponent is, however. A deck like U, U/R, or UW Stax or Aggro-Stax will probably be decent with Alara, but trying to set up a Phage win is a bit too tricky. The first time I read this, I thought it copied exactly, which would mean it would work well with Phyrexian Dreadnought, but no luck. Just be glad they banned Sensei's Divining Top in Extended, or you could have a really efficient Breakfast deck in that format!

Playable off Workshop mana and pitches to FoW, that had been my big issue with U Stax. The blues and the artifacts were fighting for space.

Yeah, right, sorceries like Tinker. there are already several decks in the format that rely on artifact win/combo and they don't run 4 Personal tutor for tinker, why would this be any different?

I was thinking in the line of:
"Skill Borrower" + Sensei's Divinig Top + Time Vault = Infinite Turns!!!
Possible but very fragile...
