Hello,
Attention Central European Vintage players: Kindly be advised there is DCI registered Vintage play at
Cerny Rytir in Prague, Czech Republic (very near Metro/Bus station Florence.)
The store offers a small Tournament on the
last Friday of every month and I'm calling it
Friday Night Vintage! Casual play/registration starts as early as 17:00, usually the tournament play starts around 18:00.
Your DCI card and registration is needed, cost is 80 Czech Krowns. First place usually chooses between packs or singles valued around 400-500 Czech Krowns (I won last Friday and took a Thoughtsieze, we had 6 people play). More people show up = higher value of the prize. Unlimited Proxies are allowed so it's a great way to test out new decks and ideas, or just netdeck something nice and give Vintage a try.
Cerny Rytir is a fantastic store with a great singles selection and a comfortable playing environment, I invite everyone in the area to come by and play some Vintage! Check out for announcements and singles selection:
www.cerynrytir.cz Also stand by for more tournament announcements for the
Czech Vintage Series 2009.
Rumor has it there will be
NO MORE PROXIES ALLOWED starting this year. We had 4 such Tournaments in Prague for 2008 (and 4 in Brno I think) prize support was usually semi-power like Library of Alexandria, Mana Drain ect. and Revised Duals for Top 8. Of course, depending on the turn-out we could be seeing a nice increase in prize support this year. Organizers will begin posting here about these events or I will link announcements from Morphling.de and some other Czech MTG forums.
