Well, after playing around with URB tez for 2 months or so I've been thinking of running a mono U tez list with some more permission and a stifle/dreadnought package. As well as Ophidians or stripmine/wastelands (I'm leaning towards Ophidian) but, I can't find the right stuff to cut for 4 ophidians or a 3 wasteland 1 stripmine package.

I'm thinking of cutting the brainstorm and FoF. LoA is not in the list because I dislike the card but will be added if I add the Ophidian package. I'm considering maindeck trinisphere or chalice. Any other ideas? Sideboard is up in the air currently.

1 Black Lotus
1 Sol Ring
1 Mana Crypt
1 Mana Vault
5 Moxen
3 Flooded Strand
2 Polluted Delta
1 Tolarian Academy
1 Academy Ruins
7 island

4 Force of Will
4 Mana Drain
4 Mana Leak
1 Misdirection

3 Stifle
1 Trickbind

4 TFK
1 Ancestral Recall
1 FoF

1 Tinker
1 Mystical Tutor

2 Trinket Mage
1 Phyrexian Dreadnought
1 DSC

2 Tezzeret the Seeker
1 Time Vault
1 Voltaic Key
1 Time Walk

1 Echoing Truth
1 Hurkyl's Recall
1 Tormod's Crypt

I apologize if I missed a thread dedicated to Tez lists but most threads I found in the search were 1 page and appeared to have died.

I would prefer Negate over Leak due to lategame efficiency. A general question ... why stay'n mono U, dismissing Duress/Tutor/Will/etc.? What makes the mono build in your eyes so much better? I mean I can't see a real tech like Back to Basics that makes you wanna stay'n mono.

Back to your list: Running 3 kill-conditions (DSC/Tez/Naught) is at leat one to much (Naught). So Stifle is not that impressive in general. Commonly used to stop fechlands and so his/her mana you have to abuse the opponents tempo-loss. (->Legacy: Stifle Fetchlands while beating with Goofy) All you can do with it is stalling.

Negate seems better, I just don't like it when 'goyf resolves Sad

I prefer mono because I really hate it when wasteland ruins my day and I'd rather run some more permission than the tutors/rack and ruin/fire ice my original list ran.

As for the 'naught, I like dropping tez after my vault has been hit with a needle or a duress and going -1 "Oops big guy"

I don't really mind going to mono because I never used will much because it was mainly just a card I threw in my gifts package that I never got of course Razz usual package was tez/tm/will/tinker. What I'll miss the most is rack and ruin but I would have preferred those as some form of counter anyway.

Edit: Back to Basics seems like a good SB card or a possible maindeck.

Tez could still kill the opponent even without the vault. Y.Will would solve this problem too if you decide to run black again  Wink I'm not sure if Wasteland is that common today. The use of wasteland declined since 20 June rapidly ... left only fish with them in my area.

Tez gets poked by 'goyf and Bob though Sad

As for wasteland, It's mainly played by the workshop/fish/stax decks and a mono U list ran it (In my local area anyway)
