The Northwest needs more Vintage tournaments and we're committed to deliver! Starting with the kickoff tournament on Saturday the 9th of May, Mike and Eelco have organized a series of Vintage Magic tournaments in order to breathe some life into the Eternal scene of Washington. The main idea is to schedule a number of proxy tournaments in which we're hoping to showcase Vintage as the awesome, skill-intensive and rewarding format that it is, and NOT a format in which games are all basically coin flips and end on the second turn. The second objective is to pump cool Vintage cards into the tournament scene as prize support.
As we kickoff the Vintage Tournament Series, First Pick Games in Seattle will be the place to be to play Vintage. FPG, located at 4228 Stone Way N, 98103, has a bunch of other Magical events on their schedule every week. On Mondays, there's an EDH League; on Wednesdays there's a Standard tournament, and on Fridays there's a Booster Draft.
FPG also has a Vintage testing box, with several Vintage decks available any day for playtesting and learning the format. If you are rusty or haven't played the format, come check it out and play with some of the decks.
