"Scorched Ruins
Land

If Scorched Ruins would come into play, sacrifice two untapped lands instead. If you do, put Scorched Ruins into play. If you don't, put it into its owner's graveyard."

Is there an opportunity to tap the untapped lands for mana when you play this land?

If you copy this land with Vesuva, do you have to sacrifice the lands?

Thanks in advance

No you can't tap the lands for mana if you wish to play scorched ruins..since you'd then be unable to sac two untapped lands.

And yes you have to sac the lands (or let vesuva go to the grave) if you copy it with vesuva.

You can always tap the lands before you play Scorched ruins...Why the need to do it in response?

/Zeus

Then you couldn't sac two untapped lands and Scorched Ruins would just go to grave, yes?
