I don't see the benefit of Kataki in the deck? Stax generally fears or at least respects this card over plays it.

I see you are really pushing trying to abuse Land Tax, you may be a little too all-in with that strategy.
Consider some number of Flagstones of Trokair and Windswept Heath (works well with Crucible)
2-4 Ancient Tomb would speed up dropping lock pieces considerably.
4 Mox Diamond, despite how well it works with Land Tax is probably too many.
Why no off color moxen?

Also Balance is generally great in Stax, but 14 creatures makes Balance much weaker.

Smokestack?

just my 2¢

this is pretty clearly not stax though.  You should look at the parfait thread and probably steve's article on that deck.

Wouldn't Kataki and Mox Diamond go against each other?  You just seem like you have too many artifacts to really want to use Kataki.

I agree with what previous posters have already noted. Those being that the inclusion of 4 mox diamonds is probably too many and the exclusion of any number of Ancient Tombs is probably not right. My team had a U/W stax deck pre lorawyn and it ran 4 Tombs.
They were very useful for popping out a lot of lock pieces fast. At the time we did not have Thorn of Amethyst but we did play glowrider which worked very well as a lock piece and clock.

Secondly the 1 of Orim's Chant seems very out of place especially with no tutoring.

What is the reason for its inclusion?

If you're really trying to abuse land tax you should run empyrical armor. Maybe run a singleton Moat because if you drop the card against workshop aggro or regular aggro or if you manage to get it into play against ichorid they have a hard time dealing with it. Have you thought about exalted angel? With only tezz kind of tutoring in the format, mindcensor seems subpar.

People still play fetches, and mystical and crap. Plus, I look at it more like preventing them from digging themselves out of a hole that you've created.
