Sorry if this is a couple of days late, but I had to gather the decklists, and some of them are not complete yet, so i will edit them when i get the rest of the infoprmation. We had a total of 17 players this time. Disappointing but not too bad seeing in how we have just started trying to get people into the format.
Adam Prosak and Jay Webb split in the finals for store credit, so no bazaar was given out.
Special thanks for Jay Carter for taking the time to swing by and play some type one here at the shop, even though he was in town for business purposes.

MEATBAG here. I played a Painter/Vault monstrosity.
Round 1 vs Alex playing Tidespout Oath I think I played Alex at the last event. He's a fun opponent. Game 1 I keep a stupid hand of mana + Painter, Vamp Tutor and Tormod's Crypt. Must be nice to start with an answer to Blessing. I grind him on turn 4. Game 2 I don't remember what I boarded in other than a couple of Jailers for more answers to blessing as well as other Oathy graveyard tricks (yeah I'm afraid of Sharuum + Bridge from Below. Or maybe I'm just afraid of the embarrassment which would inevitably ensue if such a thing occurred). An early Painter somehow smashes for 11 damage (lol) while I prevent him from doing stuff. He Thoughtseizes twice and Vamp Tutors, leaving him at 3. Once Painter dropped him to 3, I played a Jailer and passed, leaving Alex with a turn to do something. He doesn't, so I win. yay
Round 2 vs Billy G playing Mana Ichorid Silly Billy Game 1 He doesn't mulligan, which is scary. It turns out that Billy had a really busted hand with no Bazaar. Too bad I led with Time Walk, drawing into enough business to counter his turn 1 and turn 2 Breakthroughs for 1. I'm sure I would've been out of the game if either of them resolved. I end up with only Vamp Tutor and Yawg Will in my hand, so at the end of his turn I V Tutor for Gifts. I cast it in my main phase with 4 land, leaving me with only an untapped Underground Sea with the Will in my hand. At this point my opponent's graveyard is huge and full of relevant things. I didn't add anything up, but I'm pretty sure I was out of game if I didn't win this turn. So naturally I decided to win. My Gifts pile is Black Lotus, Mana Crypt, Time Vault, and Tormod's Crypt. It turns out that making a Gifts pile is really easy when you have the Will in hand. The best thing for him to have given me, I think, was the Tormod's Crypt + Time Vault. I think he maybe thought I was bluffing the Yawg Will in my hand, so he gives me the two mana sources. Thanks, Billy. I go bonkers and play Will, Time Vault, V Tutor for Key, Time Walk, and Tormod's Crypt for good measure. Probably got another land in play, too. Game 2 I board in a bunch of good stuff like Jailers, another Crypt, and Extirpates. I think I took out some counters or red blasts or something. He starts with Bazaar, pass. I go Underground, pass. He dumps some stuff with Bazaar at my EOT and during his upkeep, and I Extirpate a Bridge before his draw. Aw. The game is pretty slow from here. He gets on the Narcomoeba + Ichorid beatdown plan, which puts me at 12 life or something around there. His graveyard is enormous at this point. He Dread Returns a Troll which is a 12/12 or some other sort of ridiculous. I have a Painter in my hand which would at least provide me with a wall for a turn. He flashed back a Cabal Therapy at some point, which showed a hand with land and a Painter. He hit a Mana Drain, though, which is how the Dread Return resolved. He then made a big mistake. He gets a Pithing Needle in play. He names Time Vault. Sure, I didn't have enough mana to play Painter and Grindstone and activate on the same turn, but he knew what was in my hand. I had zero pieces of the Time Vault combo, plus he knew I had a Painter. Even more relevant, though, is that HE ONLY HAS TWO CARDS LEFT. Guess what I rip off the top like a champ? Grindstone. Poor Billy.
Rounds 3 & 4 - ID with other 2-0 opponents into top 8. Yay, much-needed food time
Top 8 Round 1 vs Doug with Remora One of my least favorite matchups. I never look forward to this...It makes me want to just stop playing Magic and kill myself. Everything that is wrong with the game and community is magnified when I'm across the table in this particular match. Oh yeah, I also don't much like playing against the Remora deck. Game 1: I can't remember these games much. I get Key and Vault in my hand fairly early and slow roll it until I get some backup. It eventually sticks and I win. Game 2: My board isn't spectacular for this round. Ah well. My opening hand is bananas, but he opens with a Remora. I'm able to get a turn 1 Key+Vault, I think, but it would have allowed him to draw at least four cards before I activate Key. I can't remember how I played this except that I was very conservative. I should have just gone all in. I hate playing into a Remora, but with a Drain deck, it just seems like things get worse as the game goes on. My stuff gets countered and I get buried in card advantage. Game 3: I really can't remember this except that I kept a hand that looked like it could have been good, but ended up being not so good. It happens. This game was a little one-sided as Doug just buries me in advantage...again. This was the only round where I wished I played Slaver instead of making the last-minute change to this pile of spam. The last version of Painter I played had Thoughtcast and while I had some success with it I'm not sure how much I enjoyed it.
Another disappointing first round knockout of top 8. At least I crushed Doug in the 8 man event afterwards. Yeeaah

I love you too MEATBAG. At least you can feel better about not having tinker number fifteen and a half jacked from you. =oD I was actually hoping to steal a grindstone when you had a painter on the table.

On a positive note, 17 players means this tournament makes the Vintage Rankings, so well done on that.

Did the first tournament I reported make the rankings? I think it was on 2.21.09 for a time walk.

The infamous MEATBAG's name is Sean Ritzler. Chase's last name is Chase Zenner. I think both of them are in the list from the last tournament.

Maybe I should have played in this tourney, but sleep was such a better option.
I got to beat MeatRocket with a Countersquall in the finals of the 2nd smaller tourney. Thats what Prosak gets for talking crap about that card.
