In answering the commandeer question, I was trying to think of a scenaro in which one ~might~ want to fizzle a duress with Commandeer.  In attempting to think of an example, I actually ended up making a bit of a rule puzzle that I'm not sure the answers to...

Suppose I control:

Rayne, Academy Chancellor
Whenever you or a permanent you control becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, you may draw a card, and if Rayne, Academy Chancellor is enchanted, you may draw another card.

Question 1:
I play a duress, which is Comandeered by my opponent.
Gain control of target noncreature spell. You may choose new targets for it.

That resolves, and my opponent chooses to reasign the target of duress to me.  Does it trigger Rayne, and if so - when?

Question 2:
My opponent, in an attempt to be clever, Cast Lightning Bolt on a Mountain Goat they control, but in response they Misdirrect the Bolt to me (I still control Rayne).

Again does Rayne Trigger once, or twice (bolt + Misdirrect), or not at all?

In both cases, Rayne will trigger once.  The trigger condition is met both by a spell being played with you as the target and by a target being changed to you.  In both cases you are becoming the target.  The Misdirection only has one single target, the Lightning Bolt, so won't cause Rayne to trigger.

Rayne will trigger during the resolution of Commandeer and you put the ability on the stack before the Duress/Lightning Bolt resolves. So your opponent will have an extra card to look at when his/your Duress resolves and you do have the chance to draw the Counterspell you'd like to use for the Lightning Bolt.
