Reconstruction in Tezzeret

Has anyone tried using reconstruction in Tezzeret to combo with Gifts?  Time Vault, Voltaic Key, Yawg's Will and Reconstruction seems like something good to do, and reconstruction is small synergies with the rest of the deck, ie retrieve a countered, or destroyed time vault/voltaic key, or even to snag a used lotus to net 2 mana, or just be pitched for force/misdirection.

Ideas on it's viability?

I picked up a playset of AQ Reconstructions (cheap) thinking this. I kinda like playing Academy Ruins in that slot better I think, it combos with Gifts and is also a re-usable, mana producing permanent. But it's slow.. I think Reconstruction is just as good, definately playable.

Intuition with Reconstruction was an engine my bud Derek Wochinski played some time back and did very well with it in a few tournaments. It was a very fast Tez list assembling the Vault Combo faster than most Tez lists.

When Thirst for Knowledge was still unrestricted he made top 4 here in January 09 with the list below

I know Derek has played Goblin Welder in TEZ in the past too, and Steel City Vault also runs Welder - which is comparable to Reconstruction.

I would look into Drafna's Restoration, maybe with Sensei's Divining Top. Drafna's Restoration with Intuition means you can get your combo in the yard and it doesn't even matter. If you're running Gorilla Shaman, you can shoot mana artifacts and put them on top of its owners library so he gets to draw go if he doesn't have shuffle effects or tutors.

Reconstruction with Intuition is ok, but Reconstruction with Gifts Ungiven can always be a game ender (Yawgmoth's Will + Reconstruction + Time Vault + Voltaic Key).

Reconstruction doesn't have the same power or utility as Regrowth, but it allows you to not have to play Green in the deck and still always have a game ending Gifts Ungiven pile available on color (and there is the fact that Reconstruction is one mana cheaper than Regrowth).
