Hey, so i've made an oldschool land tax/scroll rack deck for casual. After playing a few multiplayer games with it i've found a couple of flaws...

First off killing with 1/1 flying pegasus tokens is rather slow, and with roughly 12-14 mana available i thought that some other kill mechanism might be faster/less painful for my opponents. Possible other win conditions: Goblin charbelcher, decree of justice. Any thoughts?

Secondly, the deck folds to counterspells.....Not sure what can be done, i'd say argivian find, abeyance, chant....But i'd much prefer something i could cast the turn before i try to resolve planar birth and/or cataclysm....Unfortunetly defense grid shuts down most of my removal, so that won't work.

Mana: (18)
18 Plains

Combo stuff: (12)
4 Land tax
4 Planar birth
4 Enlightened tutor

Removal and stuff: (18)
4 Path to exile
4 Condemn
4 Cataclysm
3 Tariff - Anti progenitus and other huge shroud creatures.
2 Abolish
1 Seal of cleansing - E. Tutor tech.

Other stuff: (12)
4 Zuran orb - To keep the engine running, get lands in my yard and gain a lot of life.
4 Scroll rack
2 Sacred mesa - Teh Win!
2 Tormod's crypt - To prevent my opponent from getting back his basics with planar birth.

There's no balance, plow and armageddon as i think the deck would simply be too unfun with those cards. If i change my mind and include armageddon i might try out ghostly prison.

Well, I think this thread is a good place to start for ideas.

Beyond that, 4 Zorbs are superfluous; 2 are all you will ever want.  Also, Mox Diamond is some good in a deck like this.

Tariff is cool but I would sideboard it rather than maindeck it, based on your description of its use.

Planar Birth is not a card I am thrilled to draw multiples of despite its many tricks, so I would cut at least 1 copy.  I've never really played with Cataclysm, so I can't really comment on it other than to say it looks interesting.

There's really no reason for your deck to fold to counter spells; at least, not in a casual environment.  Argivian Find, Abeyance and Replenish are the way to go.

Here is a decent link for general ideas.  I don't know if you have read this primer before or what, but it might be a good refresher.
