http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Events.aspx?x=protour/standings/poy09LSV at the top! At the moment!
Luis was just another player that I stumbled into while entering the NorCal Vintage scene at C&J's, Who's on First and Eudemonia. Me, a total outsider, unaware of the meta and only just getting internet savvy.
After Eudemonia started an actual Power 9 Series (yep, I defeated Webster in the finals at it's premier!

), I assumed that all of us were just Magic players, with a soft spot for booster drafts or Standard or whatever.
Luis somehow went on to build a career out if Magic. I promise you, He's a Vintage player. (the tourney results speak for themselves, with Webster slightly above LSV in the pecking order in the non-sactioned world).
But I might someday have a Luis Scott-Vargas card in a fatpack/tournament deck? Weird!
Well, a Vintage player might become Player of the Year. LSV: How often would you mention Vintage as a format in front of WOTC microphones? (I know our Vintage Meta is predominatly unsactioned proxy stuff...)
If you became Player of the Year, could you/would you drum up some interest in Vintage amongst the world's player base?
Mostly the post is to congratulate LSV for getting there... (and his crew...)
