This is a deck that I made that was inspired by a list harlequin posted awhile ago that uses Magus of the Jar and Shallow Grave-effects to create a cheap draw 7. This just got better with the unrestriction of entomb. Basically you cycle through hand after hand playing as many spells as you can and hopefully draw into an early fastbond as well for more mana acceleration then you storm out with tendrils or brain freeze. The deck is disruption light only using pact of negation for counter backup (you should win the turn you go off), a couple thoughtseize, and 1 Orim's Chant to prevent your spells from getting countered.
//Lands: 20 4 Underground Sea 5 Swamp 5 Island 3 Polluted Delta 3 Gemstone Mine
//Creatures: 3 3 Magus of the Jar
//Other spells: 1 Yawgmoth's Will 1 Time Walk 1 Mox Sapphire 1 Mox Jet 1 Black Lotus 1 Mox Emerald 4 Entomb 4 Shallow Grave 1 Lion's eye diamond 2 Thoughtseize 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Corpse Dance 1 Vampiric Tutor 1 Fastbond 4 Dark Ritual 2 Tendril's of Agony 1 Timetwister I Orim's Chant 4 Pact of Negation 1 Rebuild 1 Lotus Petal 1 Brain Freeze
//Sideboard: 1 Tormod's Crypt 2 Repeal 1 Hurkyl's Recall 1 Echoing Truth 4 Leyline of the Void 2 Diabolic Edict 1 Brain Freeze 2 Thoughtseize 1 Orim's Chant
Any thoughts? Is this playable? What can be improved?

Why play this combo deck over any other deck that just flatout out wins without having to rely on the GY? The deck susceptible to Tormod's Crypt, Leyline of the Void, Pithing Needle, etc. Why play this over the Worldgorger Dragon combo, that just flat out wins?

First off, this deck is really fun to play and has less of a chance of stalling out and drawing the game than dragon does. Dragon does not just flat-out win it often stalls also dragon is susceptible to all the same hate this deck is and dragon also often has to rely on Bazaar to fill the yard making it more vulnerable to cards like wasteland. So, I don't really get your comparison. Also every combo deck that revolves around Yawg Will is vulnerable to graveyard hate to some extent. Granted this needs the yard to start but I'm working on the SB to improve matchups that might hate it out. This is by no means a finished version.

Well, Lurker, you also have to consider that every GY based deck, that's already established, flat out wins. Having a Draw-7 for 3 is nice, but it doesn't flat out win you the game. It's also a two card combo for 3 mana that simply results in a Draw-7. I'm glad you think it's a fun deck and I hope you're satisfied with it. I agree that it indeed looks like a fun deck to play.

What do you mean by "flat out wins", how does this deck not "flat out win"? This isn't just a three mana draw 7 the card interactions can cause you to cycle through your entire deck in one turn. I think it has potential. If you can think of any way to improve it feel free to contribute. If you have doubts, goldfish it or test it for your self. Also, your tone is a little condescending, you should watch that.

Really cool idea. I have seen this done in Legacy, but with way more Corpse Dance. Have you goldfished it yet ? Which is your average Turn to go of ? Perhaps you need Chrome Mox to stabilize the Manba floating while spinning the Jar.
EDIT//:
I would go like this
// Lands 4 Underground Sea 2 Polluted Delta 2 Flooded Strand 1 Tolarian Academy 2 Island 1 Swamp
// Creatures 4 Magus of the Jar
// Spells 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Tinker 1 Time Walk 1 Memory Jar 1 Vampiric Tutor 4 Corpse Dance 2 Cabal Ritual 4 Duress 2 Chrome Mox +3 Careful Study/Mox Diamond 1 Mox Sapphire 4 Shallow Grave 4 Entomb 1 Mox Emerald 1 Mox Jet 1 Mox Pearl 1 Mox Ruby 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Black Lotus 1 Lion's Eye Diamond 1 Lotus Petal 4 Dark Ritual 2 Tendrils of Agony 1 Yawgmoth's Will
Just 4 slots of disruption, but I guess this one could be get very fast with some tweaking.
//EDIT: Ah, no Necro/Bargain...crappy me (;

If entomb is the only way to get magus into the yard, why not run 2 of them, cut some corpse dance, and then you'd have room for another cabal ritual, some duress/thoughtseize, and maybe necro and bargain. maybe even mystical. and magus deposits itself into the yard, and I would hate getting multiples clogged in your hand.

Do you mean cut down to 2 magus or cut a magus and run two entombs and a cut a couple shallow graves?

sorry/ I meant cut 2 magus. then you would have a couple slots for stuff, especially if you cut 2-3 corpse dance.

Ok, I'll try that out. I'll post a list as soon as I get some testing done.

Would there be any potential in the miser's Sen Triplets? The ability is useful for you, and it is a Chant with legs. The only issue I can see with it is the mana cost. IT also fills an additional disruption role with the 'play stuff from your opponent's hand' schtick. Worth testing, I think.

The problem with triplets aside from mana cost is that it doesn't go online until the upkeep of your next turn after casting it. It's pretty win more and this deck wants to win immediately not cast triplets and wait a turn.

Here's an updated version of my list. It still needs some testing but it wins really fast almost always by turn 3 if not earlier. If anyone else wants to test it and put in their input please do. I took a few ideas from Random Noobs list and combined them with ideas from my list and also found room for Bargain (I didn't use necro because you often want to use the cards you play after they're in the yard too.) I believe Fastbond is an essential card because it allows you to take advantage of land clogged hands that seem to pop up and lets you play alot more spells. You really really want fastbond out as early in the game as possible. Anyway here's the list:
Lands: 14 4 Underground Sea 2 Tropical Island 2 Polluted Delta 2 Flooded Strand 1 Tolarian Academy 1 island 1 swamp 1 Urborg Tomb of Yawgmoth
Creatures: 2 2 Magus of the Jar
Other Spells: 44 4 Dark Ritual 4 Entomb 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Black Lotus 1 LED 1 Lotus Petal 4 Shallow Grave 2 Tendrils of Agony 4 Pact of Negation (you should win the turn you go off and this helps secure that. Force of Will doesn't work very well in here.) 1 Rebuild 1 Timetwister 2 Cabal Ritual 1 Brain freeze 1 Ancestral recall 1 Yawgmoth's Will 1 Tinker 1 Time Walk 1 Memory Jar 1 Vampiric Tutor 1 Fastbond 1 Yawgmoth's Bargain 4 Duress 5 Moxen
Sideboard: 4 Leyline of the Void 1 Tormod's Crypt 1 Echoing Truth 4 Gemstone Mine (Side these in with Orim's Chant) 1 Diabolic Edict 1 Mystical Tutor (Also side this in with Chant) 2 Repeal 1 Orim's Chant (Better protection for going off)
After more testing that list was too disruption light so here's my current list with a wishboard added and a few cards removed. Lands: 14 1 Urborg Tomb of Yawgmoth 3 Underground Sea 1 Tropical Island 2 Polluted Delta 2 Flooded Strand 1 Tolarian Academy 4 Gemstone Mine
Creatures: 2 2 Magus of the Jar
Other Spells:44 2 Tendrils of Agony 1 Timetwister 1 Rebuild 4 Dark Ritual 1 Lotus Petal 1 LED 1 Black Lotus 1 Demonic Tutor 3 Entomb 2 Cabal Ritual 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Time walk 4 Shallow Grave 1 Vampiric Tutor 1 Fastbond 1 Yawgmoth's Will 1 Yawgmoth's Bargain 4 Duress 5 Moxen 2 Orim's Chant (stops counterspells when you're going off) 4 Cunning Wish 1 Mystical Tutor 1 Brainstorm
Sideboard/wishboard: 1 Entomb 1 Orim's Chant 1 Echoing Truth 1 Diabolic Edict 2 Repeal 1 Hurkyl's Recall 3 Pact of Negation 2 Pithing Needle 2 Extirpate 1 Brain freeze (It's good to have an alternate kill in the side and you shouldn't have to storm up that much to win after several Shallow Grave + magus hands)

does anyone else have any comments about the final version of the deck that I posted? It's really fast and not as vulnerable to disruption now. It has been testing really well and the cunning wishes/wishboard has helped tremendously.

I'm not sure where to go with the list. In my testing when I goldfished some rounds I tried to abuse Magus of the Jar. The only thing I can say, is that it is an raw powerful effect and jo play it with reanimators 8 times in the Deck. But I'm not sure how to get comsistent and protected, and which turn would be the perfect to go off.
I think whishes are to cluncky, but didn't test it, yet.

Lurker, Have you considered Last Rites just in case you draw a Magus in your opening hand? You might benefit from running Frantic Search as well.

Last Rites is a good suggestion but I usually mulligan away a Magus in opening hand unless I also have a careful study or shallow grave too. Frantic Search will be tested for sure though.
