Hello all, I am new to the site but i have a question....

I am a member of an organization that is located in southern Michigan that uses gaming as a means to give back to the community. I want to see if there would be any interest in us creating a Magic The Gathering tournament. I so far have found that if we do this, we will be one of the very few in the local area that does so, i just don't want to waste time and effort on something that isn't going to work. If someone could post information or PM me with a message indicating interest, i would greatly appreciate it.

Yours in Magic,

wdsouth

EDIT:
Although I can be flexible, The type of tournament I primarily want to run is Constructed, it seems to be the easiest to get up and running on short notice.

EDIT II:
Sorry when i first put this post up it was late and i was tired, the Constructed formats i will probably be employing is Vintage and Standard, i haven't been able to go to a tournament, but i follow them closely, these two seem to be the most popular formats.

it all depends on what type of tournament your trying to organize.

theres a strong following in the ann arbor area, shouldn't be too hard to pull some of them into it if you advertise by word of mouth at a few of the weekly tournament dives in that area.

as i said though it would come down to the type of magic tournament your running.

Constructed still can be further narrowed down.  Vintage, Legacy, Extended, Standard, Block, EDH, 2 Headed Giant, etc.
