Mike, any idea if or when the website will be up and running again, and if not do you think you could post the updated player of the year and team event standings?

The web site is back up and the standings are updated. Here is the new site www.magictourneys.com

Mike, you sure mine is right?  I'm pretty sure I had 50-something points before this update... not that I have any chance of catching AJ or Nick, mind you.

Anyway looking forward to this Saturday!

Who b this?

Sorry, its Matt Elias... I know I have 17 pts from coming in 2nd (in May), plus 23 pts from the one I won (in April), and I should have 12 pts two or three times from going 4-2... (June, February/March for sure... that might be it, or there may be one more) so I think I should have either 64 or 76 pts.

EDIT:  Mike, my points are definitely wrong.

At the February event, I went 4-2 in the Swiss (12 points)
At the April event, I went 4-1-1 in the Swiss and then won the darn thing (13 points + 10 bonus = 23 points)
At the May event, I went 4-1 in the Swiss and made the finals (12 points + 5 bonus = 17 points)
At the June event, I went 4-2 in the Swiss (12 points)

Totalling these up, you get 64 points.  My 12 points from June weren't added.

Mike, did you miss everyone's point totals from the June Lotus event who wasn't in the top 8? I know AJ and Nick were leading, but it seems like everyone else didn't move anywhere. Like Matt I also feel like I don't have any chance of catching them, but now that he's brought this up I feel like I'm missing 12 points as well. I went 4-2 in Swiss at the Lotus event. Anyway, it's not a concern for me since my team and I are out of the running to win anything. But I just wanted to make sure that for the teams that are still in the running, that the point totals are correct.

I'll be there Saturday with a few people. Don't know the exact number yet since Penn State has a home game.

OK, I'm looking into this. I used a new program that was written to do the standings automatically and it's possible a name or two was missed on the transfer. The person who wrote the program will be at my house to draft tonight, so I'll have him see what's up.

'cause you're a lucky sack :-p

That match was really frustrating. I felt like I played really well and deserved to win it. no offense to you :-p

I have no idea what the format/meta looks like, what I'm playing on Saturday and I haven't played in months, but despite that, I'm still going to be a cocky bastard and say I've pretty much already won :-p

Well, that was one of the worst beatings I've taken in my Magic career.

In any event, the attendance was pretty awesome at this one - Mike, please put together a TO report this time!

I like the place a 3rd request for this. (and yea, the attendence kicked ass!)

I placed 3/4th with Tez splashing red, losing to that damn Ichorid deck (and one of my testing partners.) At least I beat it in the swiss >.< Although, I'll admit, it felt weird not playing Dredge, lol.

Good event as always Mike. Do you know when next months event might take place? I'm not sure if I can make it, as I only have 3 weekends in October and November to shoot an hour long film, but I would at least like to try to plan to attend the event. And I won't be able to plan it in unless I know now, as my schedule is gonna be finalize by this upcoming Thursday. If not, thats cool. I understand you can't accommodate everyone.

Mike, FYI you want to avoid 11/7 probably (Nick Coss might run his event this day, I think thats the day he said anyway) and 11/14 (huge Legacy event in Vestal NY that we all want to go to); also theres a SCG $5K in philly in october so obv avoid that, and Nick Detwiler said he's running a Lotus event in October as well.

Man, playing Eternal formats is seriously the best thing in the world.  I feel sorry for people whose lives revolve around Cascade...

Who needs PTQs when your got eternal events almost every weekend lol. Kind of depresses me to see that schedule and not be able to go to all of them, but alas, real life gets in the way. Not like I would have the time to test for all of them either, but both formats are amazingly fun.

Oh, before I forget, congrats to Mark for winning it. Even though our top 4 game was very anti-climatic, your definitely a cool kid that I can trash talk Razz

Yep I had digested all those other events, and Nick and I had spoken weeks ago. Our next event at AU will be on 10/3, November is always a skip month for me, and them we'll be back in early December (date to be determined). Thanks to all that attended, TO report is already started (sorry I didn't post the last one, I lost the deck lists, think I might have left them at AU). Hope to see you this Saturday at the Game Core Con for more T1 & Legacy fun!
