-Doomsday

Search your library and graveyard for five cards and exile the rest. Put the chosen cards on top of your library in any order. You lose half your life, rounded up.

-Research /development

Choose up to four cards you own from outside the game and shuffle them into your library.

My question is I have a tendrils in my deck and one in my sideboard. I cast doomsday and stack

1.Ancestral REcall
2. B Lotus
3. Dark Ritual
4. Minds Desire
5. Research/Development.

I the cast Minds Desire with 4 storm. Storm 1 Resolve revealing Research/Development. I cast it and shuffle in 1 Tendrils from my Sideboard and 1 from my exiled pile. Is this legal? The one from my exiled tendril. Or I have to run 2 Tendrils in my Sideboard?

i've had similar questions with cunning wish and demonic consultation. I was informed that vintage magic requires your wish targets to be in the side board. oracle texts simply staes a card you own outside the game. if you play a format like 5-color, the accepted rule is, within immediate reach, however your not that lucky here.

400.10. An object is outside the game if it isn’t in any of the game’s zones. Outside the game is not a zone.

Since RFG has been changed to Exile, a card that is Exiled is technically in the Exile Zone, which means that it isn't outside the game.
