Suggested by Zeus-online after a little brainstorming

{G} {U} Creatrure - Human Shaman

Return a land you control to it's owners hand: Look at the top 2 cards of your library, put one of them into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library. Discard a card.

2/1

The idea behind the card is to cycle dead or multiple cards and give fish a bear that can help out in fixing the hand. It is also blue so it can be fodder for Force of Will.

Definetly once per turn....as it is right now it's one of the most ridiculos card i'ven seen in a long while...2 mana to cycle through 18 cards or so.

I'm pretty sure the effect is blue/black though.

Maybe do a U/G version which returns lands, like this:

 {U} {G}
Creature - Human shaman (?)
Return a land you control to it's owners hand: look at the top 2 cards of your library. Put one of them in your hand and the other on the bottom of your library, then discard a card.
2/1

This card is atleast limited by the amount of lands you have in play, and the limit of 1 land per turn.

Very nice touch, makes your lands canopy's as well. I don't want it to die to darkblast though so make it 2/2.
You solved the 'limit' issue and gave it a more friendly color for GWU beats. One question though, did you intend to make this card a nice answer to wasteland? Pretty strong card overall. I love it.

Honestly, when designing cards you should never think of legacy/vintage...so no, i did not consider wasteland...i did consider the interactions with fastbond and/or crucible though.

2/1 is a way to balance it, by making it easier to remove. 1/2 is also doable, but then he really can't beat.

This is still very strong at the moment. Compare with Soratami Cloudskater.

Suggested fix:

Patient Gardener
UG
Creature - Human Shaman
{1}, return a land you control to its owner's hand: Draw a card, then discard a card.
2/1

Still quite a lot better than Cloudskater, but that card is pretty weak and you're allowed to make gold cards a bit stronger as they are harder to cast.

I agree with Nazdakka.  I think the original is too complicated and obscures the card's origins too much.
