Guess i was that surprised that he still gave me some of the cards.
And indeed, afterwards i had some mixed feelings, more like: wtf..
But since i agreed to it, by accepting the cards, i guess i cant do much anymore.
And when i agree to a deal, i accept the terms, unlike what the shop did to me.
Me and the shopowner have some history of dispute before.
This was one to remember:
Couple of months before i was looking for some foil Oath of Druids.
He had some in stock, but were way too overprized: Around 39 euro (57 usd).
I asked him if he could adjust his price, since most shop do list them around 15 euro.. He asked me which shop, so he could order some for him and for me.
Not rly eager to tell him, but he kept insisting and convincing me that he used to order alot from other shops, and that a combined order could save some postage etc..
I agreed and asked what the final price might be for me: He told me he only would charge me the netprice + postage split, once the cards will arrive.
2 weeks later, he told me the cards did arrive, but when i asked him for the total price, he told me that there was a problem..
I had a very bad feeling about this, and he explained to me that customs charged him 80 euros (118 usd) extra. I didnt believe him, and he showed me indeed a piece of paper from customs. After inspection, i noticed that the weight and size werent correct: i dont remember the details, but the paper claimed the weight of 4 kilograms.
I told him that, but he did keep telling me that that was the one from our US order.
After i told him that there was no way customs could charge 80 euros for that small order, and i did emphasize that the weight wasnt correct either.
He told me that he would look further into it.
Next day, he walked by, and said this to me: Im still convinced that the extra charge was from our combined order of Oaths, im afraid you still have to pay up for that if you want the cards, total price would be around 30 euros.
Meanwhile, i saw on his webshop that the amount was updated from 2 to 10 in qty: with the 28 euro price tag.
When the shop assistant passed by (when the owner was not around ofcoz, duh), i asked him about the extra custom charge: Hey dude, whats that all about? heard you guys had to pay up some extra from your last order?
The assistant (a very honest and friendly youngster) did sigh and told me they had a big order with a lot of Elves VS Goblins Dual decks they found cheap on the net, and got some extra 80 euro charged. He told me that was part of the risk, but they still manage to make a nice deal out of it...
I was so pissed when i heard that, trying to let me pay for his mistakes.
After a some dispute, 18 euros was his final price, to take or leave, he told me.
So i took only 2 pieces, instead of the 4 i ordered. He handed me the cards in a very unfriendly way,
2 days later, i met a cardseller from holland, offering them for 15 euros,
I was thinking: why going through all that shit, when i can buy them here??
I remember once reading an article in the Duelist: telling ppl that even if some cards have a bit higher price tag in your local shop, you better buy them there, if it means to support your local playground.
But paying almost double price for every foil card you want..
Here are some indication prices:
Foil Goblin welder: 95 euro = 141 usd
Foil Yawgmoths Bargain: 40 euro = 60 usd
Foil Shattering spree: 8,5 euro = 12,5 usd
Mana Drain: 115 euro = 170 usd
Foil Polluted Delta: 99,9 euro = 147 usd
etc..
I rarely buy from him nowadays,
Those Undiscovered paradise werent rly updated, so i 'tried' to buy them last week.

Which resulted back into some bad experience with that shop..
Thanks for listening. :p
