I have always been a fan of the old school 5 color academy decks of old, and was just tinkering with if it was possible in EDH.  So far the deck is fun (for me at least), but obviously has problems with just about any mono-blue general, unless you get lucky and they don't have enough counterspells.  So far I have played 1 vs 1 against:

Sharrum
Duran (lots of duran)
Rofellos (tough but possible)
Sisay
Emrakul (first to 15 mana wins)
and several others

Anyways, on to the deck, with some discussion at end:

Bayou
Tropical Island
Lotus Bloom
6 x Swamp
Tundra
6 x Island
City of Brass
Bayou
Badlands
Scrubland
Ancestral Vision
Strip Mine
Underground Sea
Tolarian Academy
Overgrown Tomb
Volcanic Island
Academy Ruins
Gemstone Mine
Wasteland
Savannah
Mana Crypt
Chrome Mox
Lion's Eye Diamond
Lotus Petal
Everflowing Chalice
Voltaic Key
Expedition Map
Sensei's Divining Top
Mana Vault
Candelabra of Tawnos
Sol Ring
Imperial Seal
Vampiric Tutor
Crop Rotation
Mystical Tutor
Brainstorm
Ponder
Enlightened Tutor
Repeal
Demonic Tutor
Night's Whisper
Sylvan Scrying
Gaea's Blessing
Sylvan Library
Regrowth
Talisman of Progress
Dimir Signet
Doubling Cube
Fellwar Stone
Helm of Awakening
Talisman of Dominance
Simic Signet
Coldsteel Heart
Braingeyser
Mind Spring
Grim Tutor
Phyrexian Arena
Capsize
Yawgmoth's Will
Wheel of Fortune
Compulsive Research
Trinket Mage
Fabricate
Windfall
Meditate

Empty the Warrens
Fact or Fiction
Pursuit of Knowledge
Thran Dynamo
Tezzeret the Seeker
Memory Jar
Sliver Queen
Mind Over Matter
Mind's Desire
Time Spiral
Opportunity
Dreamstone Hedron
Temporal Cascade
Palinchron
Blinkmoth Infusion

Lands: 28, Spells: 69, Crt: 2   99   1

So the idea is simple, get as much mana asap, find academy with lots of artifacts, then find Palinchron or Mind over Matter to get the infini mana into tendrils, empty, stroke, geyser.
Or Memory jar/academy ruins to deck them,
Or Tezz, add a counter, then swing with a bunch of artifacts.

Only critters are trinket mage and palinchron, can't really think of any other's I need.  Cloud of fairies is bleh.

4 cards I am not sure on:
Night's Whisper - is 2 cards for 2 mana worth its slot?
Doubling Cube - its an artifact so its helps academy, but I haven't had the need to use it yet.
Blinkmoth Infusion - technically could be a beast, but once again, it was a "win more" card I think.
Tezzeret - I know sounds insane, but its hard to keep him around for a turn, or to have the 10+ artifacts on board to finish the game.  I usually use him as an expensive fabricate more than anything.

Cards I would like to fit in for "fun"
Memnarch (gimme all ur stuff)
Defense Grid (blue constantly crushes me)
City of Solitude (read above)
Realms Uncharted (so good)

Think that would be a good switch?  And any other suggestions are welcome.  Anything that would help stop blue, and anything that could make it faster.   Thanks.
