Limited Power and no proxy environment.

Hey Ya'll

So, I have recently started acquiring Power and Vintage staples in order to play in an upcoming sanctioned tournament. So far, I have managed to afford an Ancestral Recall, a Timetwister, a Time Vault and a set of Mana Drains. I have all of the lesser expensive cards, such and fetches and duals, as well as things like Mana Crypt, Mana Vault, Sol Ring and all the tutors, but no Lotus or Moxen or Time Walk.

What would be the best type of deck for me to mangle? I have been thinking about traditional Oath, Tezzerett, , or Drain Tendrils, all with 4 Chrome Moxes partially filling Lotus/Moxen slots. What do you guys think? Is it viable to change fully powered decks into a kind of red haired stepchild of a deck?

Run either bug or noble fish with null rods. You are missing artifact mana so try to combat those cards with null rod

Well what are the other people like?  Are they in your boat, less powered than you, or more powered than you?

You can obviously build tezz and just substitute some seats/ islands for moxes and just be slower.

Oath is still really powerful, even without moxes.

Chrome mox is probably a bad idea no matter what you do. 

If everyone else is sporting full power, or something (unlikely, it kinda sounds like, from what you said) then definitely go the null rod route.  BUG fish rocks.

I would play some variation of Oath.

You might consider playing Dark Times.  This doesn't play your blue cards but it has plenty of hate without needing money cards; although technically you would play Lotus/Jet if you had them.
