Dear Vintage Community,

It's been a while! Almost Six years in fact.. Looking through my facebook the other day, I realized how many of my good friends and people that I know, I have met through this wonderful card game that we love. I still tell stories about that one trip we took in that car ride that lasted wayyyyyyy too long and that time that waitress did that thing at the restaurant we went too. We all have these stories about the places we've gone to play vintage and the people that we went with.

Unfortunately. I haven't had any of these in a while. We all remember the good times we've had playing- but somewhere we also remember the bad times. Like the time that kid beat you and clearly reminded you or that time you beat that kid and he let you know how lucky you got. Well, we all hate those assholes- and for a long time, that asshole was me. I was an arrogant, tubby little asshole- and for that.. I truly am sorry to those that I have berated and ruined your tournament experiences.

A lot has happened in six years time; I graduated, I have a big-boy job- and am that. A big boy. Big Boys don't act like children and throw temper tantrums. They also deal what life has given them and don't try and weasel their way out of situations by bending the rules. I will admit that I have done some questionable things in my playing history and have even bent the rules on occasion-- but that was six years ago. i know I can't blame my age on my faults but since then I'd like to think that I have grown up and matured and put these things and ways behind me.

I'm here to say that I'm sorry community. To the players I've bashed and to the TO's whom I've made things more difficult for. I'm also here to ask for forgiveness and to say that I've seen the error of my ways. Growing up will do that.. All I can do is give you my word that I've changed and hope that my promise to be the nicest opponent you'll ever meet is enough for you.

So what do you say?
Can we let bygones be bygones?
At least let me buy you a beer! (I'm old enough to do that!)

Sincerlely,
Nate Pease

Nice to see someone man up to past mistakes and make amends.  From your post, it sounds like it's time to let bygones be bygones.  Who says the Vintage community getting older is a bad thing.

Welcome back, Nate. I appreciate the courage it took to write this. I look forward to seeing you at a Vintage tournament in the near future.

Yeah dude, facing you in Hadley was a cool experience. I wish I had given you a better match and remembered that Jace's ability is a sorcery (BRAIN. . .  FART!).

Some years back, I said that punishment should not be so severe that it prevents people from taking advantage of the chance to reform and improve. I'm very glad to see that that has happened here. Welcome back.
