Knight Ware Inc in Studio City, CA is holding an Unsanctioned Vintage Tournament on Sunday September 12, 2010

This is our first attempt at a Vintage event so it will be unsanctioned with proxies

Cash Entry fee
$15 and you get 10 proxies
$20 and you get 15 proxies
(credit cards still fine for other purchases)

store credit for prizes, (pretty much what comes in will go back out)

Phil has agreed to judge

Where
Knight Ware Inc.
3709 Cahuenga Blvd. West
Studio City, CA. 91604
(818) 769-7830
http://www.knight-ware.com

When
Sunday September 12, 2010
Store opens at 11 AM
Registration anytime after that and before 2 pm
(casual play before the tourny is most welcome)
Tournament at 2 PM
NO decklists this time

edit, decklists will be required

Format:
Unsanctioned Vintage constructed -
REL Regular
We may do a cut, we may do swiss + 1, depends on what the players want
If we do a cut, it will probably be as follows
9-16 players 4 rounds cut T4
17-32 players, 5 rounds cut T8

Parking
Parking is the main reason most of our larger events are on Sundays
Behind the store there are numberd spaces.
Knight Ware has spaces 9, 10, and 11
but
on sundays, our neighbors are usually closed

The streets are metered but not checked on sundays
The first street to the west of us is Lankersheim Blvd..
On Lakersheim to the south there is unregulated street parking
Just west of Lankersheim (north side of the street) is an open lot that says
additional MTA parking. It does not get used much on the weekends
unless the hollywood bowl is running something and then there will be signs

any questions, post, call or email me

thanks

Phil's the best player we've got, and he's judging?  I guess that's good for the rest of us.

Why no decklists?  Seems like there's no reason NOT to have them.

I used to be a little bit of a vintage player and I will be in attendance.

I am judging and playing if there are less than a lot of players. I am also going to ask for decklists, such that afterwards they can be entered for a report on what was being played.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Regarding Proxies and what will and wont be allowed.

Pieces of paper, either glued or not glued will not be permitted inside the sleeve.  Whiteout is also not allowed.

Removing text with acetone or an eraser and using a sharpie pen to cross out the irrelevant text and write the real text is the best approach.  Ball point pen isn't good.  Sharpie marker isn't the best.

I will bring a Sharpie pen to the event and there is also going to be a stack of cards that can be used for Proxying.

CE is fine as long as it is not observable that the card has square corners.

Peeled foils are fine, as the process doesn't change the thickness to much.

I'll most likely be coming up from San Diego and will try to get a couple of others down here to come with me as well.

For those unfamiliar with the store, I usually have a wide variety of singles that store credit can
be used on / towards. (also sleeves, boardgames, miniatures, ...)

If anyone has requests, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I have set aside for this event a couple scrublands, mox diamonds, a Jace TMS,
a FOW (if I can remember which pile I put it into) and maybe a Mana Drain
