This is a buget build, and a basic COP style deck. The point of the deck is using the runes to power Cantivore, though the means of cycling. I chose this since cycling is a self contained draw engine, with added bonus of being able to pitch what i didnt need and find what i do need when looking for an ROP of a color to guard myself against. What I was looking to make this deck more compeditive, or maybe a bit more streamlined.

---------------------------
Artifacts
---------------------------
3 Fluctuator
1 Loxodon Warhammer
1 Soldevi Digger
--------------------------------
Instants
--------------------------------
1 Enlightended Tutor
3 Argivian Find
------------------------------
Sorcery
------------------------------
3 Rout
------------------------------
Creatures
---------------------------
4 Cantivore
2 Blinding Angel
---------------------------
Enchantments
---------------------------
1 Land Tax
4 ROP: Red
4 ROP: Green
4 ROP: Blue
4 ROP: Black
4 ROP: White
4 ROP: Artifacts
2 ROP: Land
---------------------------
Lands
---------------------------
9 Plains
4 Drifting Meadow
4 Secluded Steppe

Flucutator:

Turns the Runes into a self perpetuating draw engine by reducing the cycling cost by 2, thus making all my cycling cost 0

Loxodon Warhamer:

Couldn't think of anyother way to have Cantivore not be chumped all day.

Soldevi Digger:
Tend to mill out pretty quick, so i thougth id use this, though i would like a replacement, something that wouldnt kill cantivore

Enlightended Tutor
Auto include.

Argivian Find:
GY fetch, also has synergy For helping me through a dead draw.

Cantivore:
One of the kill con, powered by enchantments in all gy's

Blinding angel
control- going to guess there could be something better in this slot

Land Tax:
Thins out the non-cycling basic lands

ROP:*
In for cantivore support as well as being the draw engine and personal protection.

Cycling lands
A way to thin out and not get a dead land draw.

Fluctuator seems really really important in your deck, why not play 4 of them, as well as 4 Enlightened tutor?

I believe the old fluctuator decks used songs of the damned, cycling creatures and drain life to win. that gets around having needing hammer and speeds up your kill.

I always had fun with the deck, but it cant be competitive. It is just too inconsistent and really not that powerful. All people need to do is counter or destroy fluctuator and you are boned. And adding disruption that doesn't cycle greatly dilutes the deck.

Hrmm, now that i run it through the top 8 match ups, im finding that it just gets forced or duressed out of my hand Sad and im stuck just playing the rune of protection to save my hide and end up dying to decking out since they usually eat the digger next.

one tutor gives me flexalbity and isnt a dead draw by proxy i have 4 fluctuators, 3 fluctuators is consistant enough for it to work as i only need 1 to work it.

Consider the two-slot Black Lotus/Haunting Misery kill, with cycling dudes instead.

Read your two statements again please. You say that getting your Fluctuator countered or Duressed is a problem, but you also say that 3 is enough, wouldn't playing 4 make you more likely to resolve one if your previous one gets countered/duressed?
