I have:

The Abyss

and some creature that makes a token at beginning of upkp, say a Nath or Verdant or w/e, I can make a token during beginning of my upkeep, then sac it to the abyss correct?  Since I control both.

Incorrect.  You do not sacrifice anything to The Abyss.  The Abyss destroys a target nonartifact creature.  At the time the ability goes on the stack the target is chosen, so the target must be something that was on the battlefield when the upkeep step began, not a token created during the upkeep by Nath or similar.

The Abyss {3}{B} |World Enchantment| At the beginning of each player's upkeep, destroy target nonartifact creature that player controls of his or her choice. It can't be regenerated.

Seems I have been playing my Nath/Abyss tech in EDH wrong all this time.  Ty.
