Trinket mage just got big brother: Treasure Mage 2U 2/2 When Treasure Mage enters the battlefield, you may search your library for an artifact card with converted mana cost 6 or greater, reveal that card, and put it into your hand. If you do, shuffle your library. http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=114340&d=1295418160

Perhaps Show and Tell could see more play with this in the card pool.

Hmm... I'm sure I'm going to playing this card in multiple EDH decks.... but I feel kind of bummed over the flavour. There's something really satisfying about Trinket Mage's stats: The 3 to cast, 2 p/t, fetching something that costs, 1 or 0 - they cascade so elegantly towards the tichy.
I wish this more something like, U to cast, 0/2, fetch an artifact that costs 3 or more. Feel like it would mirror Trinket Mage better...
Still, what the hell, it's going to be fetching brokeness lots, in multiple formats. Could be jolly be good fun with Master Transmuter, though that's probably not quite Eternal worthy.

Guys guys guys. You're forgetting that he can fetch up Aladdin's Lamp. How is your opponent going to win when you can dig X each turn?

Fetches steel Hellkite and Wurmcoil if you ever found free space in a workshop deck. Seems neat. Not necessarily good, but neat.

I think this can go into slaver, there are plenty of things to discard stuff in the format. This makes a great tutor for slaver and other Welder targets. Guys guys guys. You're forgetting that he can fetch up Aladdin's Lamp. How is your opponent going to win when you can dig X each turn?
The vintage format is going to be completely unintuitive and non interactive now. Hopefully the DCI will ban Lamp.

Master Transmuter would be even better.

So are we gonna see a new deck with 4 show and tell, 4 oath, 4 new tinker mage, and 4 of the Infect DSC? LOL. This set is looking to be fun at least.

I suppose it's mostly the thought that this format is just one big Mistake; and not even a very sophisticated one at that.
Much like humanity itself.

This seems like a better place to start than Oath + Treasure Mage.

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.
Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops. I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.
