Mike, I'm pumped for this, because the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center is probably not even a mile from my house.  However, I think you're really killing your potential attendance by not posting this on The Source, and probably also on Starcity's forums and MTG Salvation.  If you've already done those things, I apologize, but if you haven't and DON'T do those things, you should expect sparse attendance.

Having said that, if there's no conflict with Vintage, hopefully some of the Blue Bell crowd will come to this, b/c Legacy is sweet.

Hey Matt

Thanks for the heads up! I think Jason is getting the info posted on other Magic sites. I know he mentioned SCG & MTGS as to places he was going to post. I'm not familiar with The Source. Could you get me a link? Thanks again and I'll see you this Saturday for Blue Bell.

I should be there on Sunday. My brother will probably be there the whole weekend working for one of the vendors. Maybe I'll build him an EDH deck or something.

May I recommend MattParisi.dec?

I might be here, might not.  Depends on what my employer plans to do for the day.

No MattParisi.dec for my brother, he's not that anti-social. I'll probably just give him mono-red. It runs Gauntlet of Might so other red mages at the table will love him!

Also, assuming the employer in question is one Mr. Coss, I'm sure you'll be there at least one of the days.

Also, I just got word that none other than James Rolfe aka the Angry Video Game Nerd will be making an appearance so I'm definitely there Sunday for sure! He just may upstage the lovely Ms. Masterson, sorry Mike!

Well, it is the final regional prerelease for the foreseeable future, so I can imagine him wanting to get a table both days.

New Phyrexia Regional Prerelease

The prerelease is Saturday only so I expect both you and Mr. Coss there on Sunday!

Hope to see everyone tomorrow! We have a huge playing area, lots of great cards available, and Chase is looking forward to meeting you! Also note that Matt & Charles will be doing a panel about producing Magic art at 10am right before the start of the Legacy event.

Yes, but I cut back on the tourney fee to compensate, plus you have access to the rest of the convention features. See the above post for details. Hope you can make it.

Legacy Tournament Report - 2nd place

I suspect the beginnings of a major metagame shift here, folks! And this is before New Phyrexia releases! Boy that Legacy, what a crazy format!

The format does not appear to be as diverse as it once was. Consider the following:

Metalworker MUD: 33.33%
Elf Aggro with Natural Order/Progenitus: 16.67%
ANT: 16.67%
Lands: 16.67%
Zoo: 16.67%

That's right, only five deck types represented. Looking over all the decklists, I saw not one Force of Will! Also absent were Æther Vials, Goblin Lackeys, Counterbalances, and Jace 2.0s.

It was Elf Aggro vs me playing Zoo in the finals, with Elf Aggro winning 2-1.

Thanks to Mike Smith for running another great event!

Metalworker MUD: 33.33%

Thats a lot of MUD.  It must be TOO powerful and therefore something has to be banned.

Unbanning both Metalworker and Grim Monolith was clearly a mistake.
