I like this dude.  In a format without much targeted burn (like Vintage), he seems to compare very well to Tarmogoyf.  You trade the consistent sized body for potential evasion or blocking an Inkwell, Battlesphere, or shop monsters.

He seems fun... BUT...

If an opponent has burn, he will always burn it in response to you using the ability, or just wait for you to use it while facing a menacing 1/1.

In a format where Goyf is barely making the cut, I can't see why a worse Goyf that is more mana intensive would make it.

I actually think I'd play Werebear over this guy.

Yeah, I know, but that's exactly why he might be better for Vintage than other formats.  The worst burn you're gonna run into in Vintage is a one-of Darkblast or Fire and Ice.  So it will be much more rare that the enemy will burn him in response to the ability.  I think he plugs some holes for Fish when it comes to having fat creatures to block Shop - like Goyf - but he has the added ability to attack in the air, which is HUGE for Fish.  Flying over with exalted 2 or more is no joke.
