Here is the decklist I am starting with:

Win (18)
4 Sneak Attack
4 Show and Tell
4 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
4 Woodfall Primus
1 Tinker
1 Sphinx of the Steel Wind

2 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

Draw (8)
1 Brainstorm
1 Ponder
1 Time Walk
1 Wheel of Fortune
1 Sensei's Divining Top
3 Preordain

Counterspells (10)
4 Daze Mental Misstep
4 Force of Will
2 Spell Pierce

Mana (24)
1 Lotus Petal
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Mox Ruby
1 Sol Ring
1 Mana Crypt

4 Scalding Tarn
4 Volcanic Island
2 Mountain
5 Island
4 Ancient Tomb

1) With only 6 artifacts should I drop Tinker (and Sphinx?) for more draw/search?

2) Preordain? There must be something better here (I hate that Brainstorm is restricted). I don't have Ancestral...

3) Could Jace TMS fit into this deck

4) Daze or Mental Misstep?

Ps. this is my attempt to build a fun deck for a unpowered (semi-powered) metagame. No tier 1 decks in my field.

awesome.  i just built a summoning trap/show and tell/ elvish piper deck for fun.

1.  if you dont have more moxes, then youre max would be mana vault plus what u have (nihil spell bomb main if there is a dredge presence).  if youre not comfortable with that number, the cut them for jaces.  jace is good at finding combo pieces when you have 8 of each.

2.  i think preordin is better than ponder in a lot of ways.  i think its a good choice

3.  yes^yes

4.  no idea.  depends on the meta.  for this i think pierce and mm is good.

notes:  not sure about wheel and would like to see some blightsteel, though i understand the counter-argument.

I am waiting for some cards in the mail then I will playtest this and see if it works Smile

Hehehe..

Show and tell turn two looks strong. I'm not so sure about sneak attack though. I would try lowering the numbers on your creatures, sneak attacks and big-Jace and replace them with draw/deck manipulation, to avoid dead draws. Running black for confidants and tutors may be the most obvious choice, but splashing red for sneak attack is risky in the meta you're facing. Also: People will probably pack hate for permanent-based combos. Though being an enchantment rather than an artifact helps, sneak attack still has a big, bright bulls-eye painted on it.

Though sneak attack is hilarious, I'm pretty sure straight UB with tinker or oath would be better.

And wheel of fortune will be better for half your opponents than it'll be for you. I wouldn't run it main, at least.

I wish I could face you in The Cave this year. Unfortunately I'll be in another country at the time.

?If you're playing Sneak Attack, then why no Emrakul?  That's X permanents gone, plus it gets shuffled back in to do it again.

Hi Bearman Razz I’m not playing in the cave this year. Too busy with work, home and cars. But I will test some against team Jæren with this deck after the tournament 
1.   Without Sneak Attack it’s not a sneak attack deck… 
2.   Yes. I could need more draw/deck manipulation… Big Jace helps on this.
3.   Confidant? Did you notice the 4 Emrakul, 4 Primus along with 4 5cc and 6 4cc?
4.   No, I will not play Oath instead of this. Yes I know it’s stronger.
Just for fun, what would you have played this year if you were in the cave? 

Oops, kinda forgot that confidant has a draw-back. Still, I think the deck would benefit from scrapping sneak attack alltogether and reducing the number of bombs. Of course I may be way off base. No experience against sneak attack.

A shame you can't make it this year! I would probably have played aggro-combo: Ghastclamp plus tendrils. It combos off late-ish (turn 4-5), but packs 4 very effective cabal therapies main and some bounce to keep big creatures off. I'm pretty happy with it, and I think it's a good choice for this years meta. We seem to be low on pure aggro and it deals quite well with combo. I'll send you a link to the decklist once I bother to put it together.

Have fun with work, home and cars!
