I want a mono-brown Godo or whatever the legend is that attaches an equipment to himself upon entering the battlefield. Two ideas I have are:

Quote
Magnet Myr
2
Artifact Creature - Myr
When Magnet Myr enters the battlefield under your control, attach an equipment you control to ~.
0/1

or

Quote
Magnet Myr
4
Artifact Creature - Myr
When ~ enters the battlefield under your control, put an equipment card from your hand into play attached to it.
0/1

The intent is a way to get into combat with an Affinity deck versus Null Rod so you're not dead in the water, but at the same time, it doesn't make the match unwinnable for Fish etc.

If you go for the first version, I would definitively make him take ALL the equipment in play, he's a magnet after all, and even if I don't know how they work, it should have the same effect on all equipment.

For second version, you can make him a 2/2 no problem. 0/1 is underpowered and useless if you don't have an equipment in hand.

Also, if this is designed to be player under Null Rod, 4 mana won't work unless you plan on having your 4 Glimmervoid on the table to cast him.

For the 1st one, I would also add the line "When an equipment enters the battlefield, attach it to Magnet Dude".

The "under your control" portion of the text is redundant.

I suppose it's mostly the thought that this format is just one big Mistake; and not even a very sophisticated one at that.
Much like humanity itself.

I think they are both reasonable.  In fact it might make an interesting cycle of dudes to print a bunch of variations on the theme.

Lil Magnet Myr 2
Artifact Creature - Myr

At the beginning of each upkeep, choose an Equipment card with the lowest converted mana cost among Equipment in play and attach it to -this-.
1/1

Beeg Magnet Myr 6
Artifact Creature - Myr Cat

When -this- comes into play, attach all Equipment in play to it.
-this- gets +1/+1 for each equipment card attached to it.
3/3

Fuckin' cycles, how do they work?

You have to think of what is printable, though. Quest for the Holy Relic is playable in other formats because it puts Argentum Armor into play. Because of that, I think the big Myr should cost a good bit or be 0/1. Besides, who knows what broken equipment is yet to be printed?
