Grats on the win!

Sadly, it's really sounding more and more to me like Animar isn't doing much. Have you considered just replacing him with say, an extra Edric and 2x Vendilion Clique? Or did he actually help out a ton, but it just got kind of glossed over?
In his report he talked about how the pro white helped him win games. It is true, most GWx Fish do rely on white removal so I can imagine how Anima can be powerful in that match up.
If that's all he was good for, that makes my point exactly. I assume we can both agree that if you're just looking for prowhite, there are far superior options. Sword of Light and Shadow, for a start.

I suppose it's mostly the thought that this format is just one big Mistake; and not even a very sophisticated one at that.
Much like humanity itself.

Yep, I kind of agree.  The rest of the deck, while put together with Animar in mind, actually works perfectly well without him.  That said, I was never really sad to draw Animar, sort of like how you never sad to draw Tarmogoyf.  Plus, he pitched to Force of Will at least twice, which was really nice.  Anyway, I'm done messing with this build for now, so someone else can take a turn running it for a few months.
