Ran the same Remora Gush list that I won the previous NY event with. I 3-3'd with it at Coss's event in NJ, but that was largely due to insufficient shuffling of a piled out deck in round 1 (lost to Elias in the most lopsided feature ever) and a few bad breaks. Best part of the day outside of chopping top 4 was finally making the extra effort to get to Mueller's Deli for their hero. Definitely the best food place in the area, but a 8 minute drive means that I need a bunch of time after I finish a round to get there and back.

SB:
1 Flusterstorm 1 Volcanic Island 2 Sower of Temptation 1 Trygon Predator 1 Ancient Grudge 2 Ravenous Trap 3 Ingot Chewer 4 Leyline of the Void
Round 1: Lance UB Trinket Snaps w/ Runechanter's Pike Game 1: I have turn 1 Library and turn 2 Remora. I should dominate from there. I end up losing by blanking on infinite draws and not knowing how Runechanter's Pike gives creatures first strike. He then recurs Time Walk three times and we go to game 2. Game 2: I have an early Green Sun for 2. Get Scavaging Ooze and just dominate his graveyard from there. I elect not to attack as there are no creatures to eat and am playing around Snapcaster. Turns out he had it, so I was glad for making the correct decision. Apparently he was also on Vendilion Clique, but I might have swung into him as a potential 3/3. Glad it didn't come up. Trygon gets the job done. Game 3: Mulligan to 5 because of no lands in either hand. Have a few early dudes and a counter. He has his one of Lilliana and then Noxious Revival to get it after I deal with it. Interesting deck design, similar to Hornung's list that top 8'd the first event that I modified for the Grudge Match. I wish him well as best I can despite being uber salty losing game 1 to myself. Was holding Ancient Grudge but passed the turn playing Goyf thinking to trade with him. Probably win that game if I don't punt it.
Round 2: ???? on UR Welder (Slaverless Slaver?) Game 1: He mulligans twice and has nothing. I have an early GSZ for Ooze. Game 2: I board in Leyline and hit it in the opener. He has no action that sticks and I Jace him.
Round 3: Raf Forino on Martello Shops Game 1: I keep a hand with two Missteps because it also has two FoW. Add in Ancestral, Fetch, and Goyf and it's very solid. Raf has to mulligan, and leads Wasteland -> Sol Ring. I get value on a Misstep. I play the fetch and pass, he uses the Waste to drop Mana Vault. Super Misstep value, and he has no other mana. I had intended on pitching them to the FoW's, but hitting his only two 1 drop's worked much better. That's utter variance for you. Game 2: Raf finally has a Mishra's Workshop against me, but had to mull to find it. I have a bunch of artifact hate and hold the fort long enough for Jace to hit the table. +2 controls the game and Raf concedes when I leave a land on top with Jace at 13.
Round 4: Ryan Glackin on RG Beats Game 1: He has some early artifact destruction but nothing that impedes a blue deck. I Tinker -> BSC and he has no outs. Game 2: I bury him in blue cards and ride my hand to victory.
Round 5: Matt Bliffert on Show and Oath Game 1: Long game, ends with Jace despite him sticking an early Oath. Jace ensured he never found the Orchard. Game 2: He mulligans and has a weak hand, I have strong blue cards and I believe I end up taking all the turns through Tinker.
Round 6: ID w/ Justin Kohler
Quarterfinals: Justin Kohler on Forgemaster / Metalworker Game 1: Mox Mox Mox Fetch -> GSZ for Trygon Predator pass. Next turn Demonic for Ancestral and have a full 7, pass. Not very fair to Justin. Game 2: He mulligans and I naturally draw both Time Vault and Voltaic Key while holding off his artifact plan with my reactive opener. I use Time Vault on it's own several times before finding the Key to knock down Justin's Tangle Wires.
Semi-Finals: Rob Edwards on Espresso Stax Game 1: He is on the play and has Lodestone and Metamorph. I held back my FoW because I had Vault and Key coupled with Artifact only mana (one Island). Rob naturally had the Strip Mine he needed to kill me before I took all the turns. Game 2: Ancient Tomb and Phyrexian Mana get him to 2, and when I show him Merchant Scroll -> Fire/Ice we move on. Game 3: Tough game, but the density of my artifact hate and multiple Trygon's get the job done.
Finals: Scott Hughes on Mono-Red Shops Game 1: He gets me with Sword of Light and Shadow on a Welder and prison effects. Game 2: I win this, but can't remember how. Probably a weaker draw from him and some fast action from me. Don't remember any sequencing which is quite rare for me. Game 3: He has Duplicant for my turn 1 Trygon + moxes, that picks up a Sword of Fire and Ice. Sower was not able to make an acquisition because of the Protection from Blue, and that was that.
I still like the list. I haven't been running Hurkyl's Recall, and that has been fine to be honest. I've gone 7-1 vs shops without it, and I haven't lost to a Blightsteel either. If this meta-game stays warped towards creatures I very well might start to board Remora or cut it entirely for cards that will actually impact match ups. As of now it feels very niche.
