1U When it CIP look at top 3 and put an instant or sorcery in hand, rest on bottom 1/3 Merfolk Wizard
It's nice that he's a Wizard.

Yes, uncommon according to Mtgsalvation. It's a cute card, but probably not good enough even when its cost is quite cheap. Maybe Vial Wizards is the most suitable deck, or decks with confidants and snapcasters. With flash would have been a great card (but also rare instead of uncommon).

I could see this seeing some play. Digging 3 with a body is a fair play. 1/3 is kind of interesting...

Yeh the 1/3 helps with protecting your life total due to all the life loss from dark confidant. The only thing I'm sketchy with is that it only looks at 3 cards meaning you can pretty easily wiff.

If you whiff that means that you took 3 cards that most likely were not useful and put them on bottom - you'd have drawn them otherwise.

Not if it was a creature like snapcaster or bob, or a planeswalker like jace or liliana, or if your tight on mana and looking for some more. Im just not sure how much better this card is than sea gate oracle.

Seeing as how it costs 1U instead of 2U, I would think it is significantly better.
Heck I could see it some versions of Spring Tide, if that is even a deck any more in Legacy.

I like this dork. I like him a lot. As previously mentioned, he stops all of the hate bears from hurting you. In the right deck, he compares favorably to Sage of Epityr. I'd gladly pay 1 more mana to do something with the cards I'm topdecking. Once you start bouncing him with Riptide Lab, he's a downright decent late game draw engine.

This one was great. An Augur + Snapcaster + Ninja engine is a lot of card advantage, all uncounterable if one uses Cavern -> Wizard.
