Well, we now have another card that wins the game immediately in Vintage if it resolves.

http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=464272

Enter the Infinite
8UUUU
Sorcery
Draw cards equal to the number of cards in your library, then put a card from your hand on top of your library. You have no maximum hand size until your next turn.

They took Omniscience to the next level.  Now you get infinite mana and infinite card draw in the same spell.  This is absurdly expensive, of course, but if this resolves Storm (and most blue decks) wins on the spot.  Hope for a U/R Charbelcher-style list?

Not seeing the infinite mana part, unless you're talking about resolving Omniscience first, at which point it probably doesn't matter.

That said...

No.

You won't have infinite mana, but presumably you'll have enough mana artifacts left in your library to resolve, say, Vault+Key.

What are the options for cheating this thing onto the stack? Unlike 4BB or 4UU, 8UUUU is completely uncastable...

That was my point exactly.  If you have your library in your hand in Vintage, there is no excuse for not being able to cast whatever you want.  Fastbond->all the lands, all your artifact mana, all your rituals, etc.

You lose if you cast vault+key and have nothing to follow up.  Read the card again - you deck yourself.  There are better ways to win.

Seems easy enough to put this on top of your deck with a tutor and epic experiment for 1, or something equally stupid.  You don't even need omniscience.

Epic Experiment for 12 or you can't cast it.

Anything that you do to facilitate casting Enter the Infinite would just as easily win through alternative methods that are actually decent before getting aforementioned facilitating combo online.

Galvanoth seems like a legit way to cheat this in.  Or to a lesser extent djinn of wishes.  All you need is a top deck tutor, or a brainstorm with it in your hand, and you win.  2 card win combo isn't terrible at all.

Djinn of Wishes and Galvanoth are hilarious options that I will try at some point for a laugh.

Other ways to cast this:

Dream Halls
Omniscience
Brilliant Ultimatum
Hellcarver Demon
Intet, the Dreamer
Jhoria of the Ghitu
Malestrom Archangel
Mind's Desire
Hideaway Lands
Omen Machine
Spelltwine
Spellweaver Helix
Temporal Aperture
Wild Evocation

Most of these are crappy or require you to jump through hoops to work.  Jhoria at least has an acceptable casting cost.

Isn't the Conflux engine still marginally better, though? It lets you pitch a card of any color instead of a blue one to combo out.
