We had 27 battle for an ancestral recall this wknd(2-9-13). Weather seems to have kept a few out(as well as poor sleeping habits). 2 showed up after rd 2 had started. . We also had a few newer guys to the format play(Evan's 3rd event and Ryan Tigro's very first vintage event/deck ever). Random judge foils were given out during the swiss rounds as feature match prizes.  There were also two house decks available for the event but only one was used(BUG Fish) by Mark Hornung.

Props: the PSU crew for traveling and coming with a deep crew
Paul Mastriano's g/f, for living so close that he had to come Very Happy
Shawn Tappen for coming after he said he had to bail
Mark Hornung for having the balls to play the house deck
           Mike Noble. Just because.

Slops:  Mark Kinney. for sleeping his way outta the event even though he's a 25 minute drive away  Rolling Eyes
Tim Kenney. for failing to win his feature match. that whole car won their's except him  Razz
Me. for having what can be best called a, "wait till your father gets home" situation with my kid that I had to
leave the event b4 it was actually over in the semi's.    Embarassed

Mike Noble. Just because.

Thanks dude!  It was awesome getting to see you and the store, and I can't wait for the next one!  Congrats to Bill on carrying the Nole Fish torch, and Josh for placing with the best deck.  Hopefully I won't get tiebreakered out next time.

This event was awesome AND I got 8 PWPs for my otherwise sub-par 2-3 finish. Sweet!

Hopefully somebody (I won't say who, but a popular Vintage deck is named after him Wink) won't double-book events and we can stick around a little longer next time.
