So this little artifact was recently spoiled. It seems as if it *might* have some applications in Workshop decks? The same way that Uba Mask takes advantage of Shops playing mostly permanents and no instants or sorceries.

Thoughts?

You invest a card and 8 mana for something that could be mostly symmetrical (and take 3-4 turns to execute)?

There may be a combo somewhere, but it doesn't seem to fit shops.

This is fetchable with trinket mage and has synergy with sensei's top.  It also shuts off opposing top deck tutors and disrupts their sensei's tops.  So its not a completely terrible card.  However, 7 mana to activate the second ability basically means you need to be gaining significant value out of the first ability to even consider running this.

Drain so good!

Realistically this is more of a TM card than a MW fcard, but neither really wants it.

ok, so it counters enlightened tutor, vampiric tutor, and mystical tutor.  that is all it does.  you can do the same thing with mental misstep--which can also be played in any deck--including shops.

With this duder, you can now run eight Screeching Slivers to compliment your eight Lantern of Insight + Field of Dreams!  1cc top deck control for the win!

I'm only half kidding here.  This card only has a home in a heavy topdeck-control type deck, once that doesn't exist now.  Seems like garbage in every other application.

I'm pretty sure thrumming stone would be easier to break than this.  And that was only done once, by a guy that doesn't vintage anymore.  Sadly, I feel we must relegate this card to the kitchen table or the shit rares box.
