Unique ability. How good is it to Wasteland a Workshop and then regrow it into play? We've seen Shops with Taiga top8 before. We've seen Reliquary Knight top8 before. Do I think this is Vintage playable? I think that's clear as mud.

I doubt this will see play. Maybe at the fringes, but it takes too much work to make happen, for little gain. And in a world with Deathrite Shaman this is too easily countered for free.

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.
Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops. I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

DRS of course limits its application. I have liked it not to return wastes, but to accelerate T1. fetch, mox-> restore means 2 lands on T1 (and one of them untapped). Recover strip mine or wasteland is also nice but maybe not so consistent.
I'd play it with horitzon canopy, so it could be cycled...Maybe in a RUG core with dazes and gushes?
But as DubDub said, with drs this card (probably weak per se) is even worse.

I think it's Vintage playable, but it's hard to envision a deck that craves this effect. In BUG fish it can be a Sinkhole that also fixes mana (Regrowth/Rampant Growth for 1G isn't terrible in a deck that has Bob + lots 1 CC counters).

Hard to say. This replaces Three Visits in my EDH deck simply to get rid of the white border, but in Vintage...this is about taking your opponent's Workshop/Waste/Forbidden Orchard.
We don't play Ice Storm, but would we at 1G? Obviously this is more conditional.

This isn't Ice Storm though... not even remotely. Waste/Strip are hyperefficient Ice Storm and they already see play. Stealing an opponent's Workshop after already having Wasted it when you're a green deck seems terrible to me. Maybe you deny them their own Workshop back if they have a Crucible, but DRS could do that for you just the same with more upside. 'Stealing' a Forbidden Orchard is interesting, but doesn't seem to me to be a winning play. For more you get to Grip their Oath uncounterably, why wouldn't you do that instead? And 'Stealing' their Wasteland? That means that they Wasted you and you still have . Why wouldn't you just cast Tarmogoyf there and hit them in their face? I just don't see it.

works ok with realms uncharted, but don't know what lands you would want to get in combination.

Interesting card, unique ability, worth picking up in case something interesting comes of it later. However, at the moment I don't see why you would choose this over Crucible or Life from the Loam, cards with similar effect. Perhaps, if it cantripped....

In the case of land + mox turn 1 isn't Explore better? Maybe we could run a deck with 4 explore, 4 of these, and 4 realms uncharted.....

Dark Depths and Thespian's Stage maybe? The card is not too bad, it ramps you an additional Land Drop... have seen worse, but I doubt it will break something in eternal.

Hm.
With strip in the yard, this is sinkhole. Slight improvement over recursion with crucible or loam, maybe, since it does not affect your land drop count...
