This won't be super detailed. We managed to scrap 8 brave bold souls together for a cash in, cash out 8 man Vintage on early Sunday afternoon.

As of noon no Vintage 8 mans had fired despite our best efforts. The TO eventually tried unsanctioned but somebody put the squash on that as apparently it's uncool to run unsanctioned at a G.P. (despite several other unsanctioned formats being run). We finally had an East Coast / West Coast / Dirty South showdown lined up.

#1 Andrew "TI" Wright - Reel Fish 75
#2 Jack "Hallowed Fountain" Colwell - U/w Helm in Peace
#3 Adam "Anti Pimp" - Pyrogush
#3 Taylor "Big Smoove" - U/w Flash
#5 Ben "Grisel Pac Shakur" - Reanimator
#6 Sean "Stoneforge Austin" - Mel Gibson's The Patriot
#7 Other Ben "DJ Druid" - Oath
#8 Danny "2 Win Con.org" - All the restricted cards and vault key and BSC

Round 1: vs Ben on Reanimator

Game 1 I keep kind of an aggro hand with Snare and Force of Will and a Clique. I lose the roll and draw into my SofI. He ends up Exhuming Griselbrand after I lose a disruption and counter war. I got him to 10 I think with SofI'ed Clique. But I drew land, land, mox and could follow-up. Even being on the play here would have put him to a low enough total where he couldn't afford to swing. Stupid Demon.

Game 2 I keep a meddling mage hand with light counter magic on a mulligan to 6. I smell Show and Tell and Meddling Mage it. Again I get some beats in but just brick on finding one of my 20 counterspells or 4 cages. I think I even Ancestral but just hit a glut of lands and dudes. Tidespout Tyrant seals my fate.

Round 2: vs Danny

Game 1 I have a grip of counters including my maindeck Red blast. Eventually I get a nice fast clock with an SFM into a SofI equipped to an Augury Adept. He is unable to resolve any spells.

Game 2 I don't remember much about this game other than he resolved time Spiral and went apeshit. He gets vault / key.

Game 3 I have a multi Flusterstorm opener and Clique and SFM. Fast clock and he was mana tight.

Round 3: vs Adam

Game 1 An ancestral fight ensues and Adam pulls ahead for a lethal Yawgmoth after I am unable to kill him in time.

Game 2 I mull to 6 trying to find a blue card that interacts on the stack in anyway and keep a 6 with mana and dudes. It's just not good enough, even worse his tokens clog the ground for my dude heavy hand. I waste him 3 times this game but can't follow it up with a fast enough clock and since I can't draw a counter to save my life he is essentially defensed gridded on his turn. Eventually I get Tendriled.

Round 4 wasn't needed for me and others. Jack and Andrew battled it out. U/w just couldn't keep up with Merfolk. Makes me want a miser's Supreme Verdict in the board.
